The trail ride was amazing and the guides were nice. I had one issue and that was with a lady named Janet (which I’m now seeing from recent reviews discriminates against POC). My friend and I (visibly black hijabi women) went for a ride and she singled my friend and I out and told us we were not how much we said we weighed. My friend and I both weight 170-180 which is well below 250 which is the max weight they allow. She brought out a defective scale and made us get on it. I made a funny joke to my friend saying “damn we should hit the gym” and she agreed and said “yeah you guys really should.” Janet was NO smaller than the both of us of course but we left it at that and said whatever. She then proceeded to shout “let’s get the big horses out for these 2 big girls”🤣 we were dumb founded and looked at one another in shock. I will say I did have a great experience but Janet made it very unpleasant and uncomfortable for the both of us.

As someone who has horses and has trained ranch horses for years I went there for fun with some of my friends who do not ride. For one most of the horses are in bad health/ condition especially with hoof trimming most are in there late teens/20s the staff was very nice until one of my friends mentioned that’s I was experienced then they became rude and short towards me and act very odd and being very upset that I adjusted my own sturip many of the horses are lame and I saw a few that had severe EPM and muscle issues as well as most of the staff does not know how to handle horses

Big fan of the Horseshoe Hill Climb and their Country Christmas events. My kids have enjoyed their day camps. The race was yesterday, rucked 32 lbs across the finish line. I wish they added a rucking division for the 5k and 10k. I'll keep doing it anyway.

As stated by the previous recent reviews, if you’re a person of color the experience is not good. They act very clearly racist if you aren’t white. I went with my family we paid in advance and were extremely excited, the lady singled me out to step on a scale. Told me it was policy that everyone had to however no one else had been asked to, she stated I looked over 250 lbs which is 70 lbs over what I am. She compared my body to those around us. And when I had had enough crying ready to go I stated I just wanted to leave and turned to walk away, I didn’t ask about a refund but she felt the need to shout as I was walking away that in order to get a refund I needed to step on a scale. I repeatedly asked to speak to someone else she kept saying no she was the owner. Eventually we spoke to the office they apologized and let us know while she owns somethings she was not the owner and that they did not follow that policy the lady Janet was trying to enforce on me. It was truly awful, I tried to leave she chose to continue to disrespect me.

My family and I had gone here to do a trail ride. We were waiting in line to get our horses and one of the coordinators, Janet, called up my elder sister to get her horse. For reference , at this stable you can’t ride a horse if you’re 250lbs+. Janet asked my sister to get on a scale because she didn’t believe my sister when she said she was 180lbs. The way she asked was very rude and unprofessional. Janet said she was good at guessing weight then proceeded to guess my mother’s weight grossly incorrect as well. She said we wouldn’t get a refund if my sister didn’t get on the scale.
