On drop off was quoted $350 then they called another person and quoted $980. Beginning of a horrible experience. They wrapped my dogs paw too tight causing extreme swelling and did nothing at all about it

Our vet and staff are amazing. The problem is that they are so busy and overbooked that you can never get an appointment. They try to sell you on their “wellness plan” but you can never get in if you have an issue. My dog was miserable with an ear infection and they had nothing for two weeks. I even tried other clinics in the area driving as far as 50 miles away and they were all booked. I ended up at an emergency vet for something that could have been easily solved if they had appointment times.

Limited services. Pet care plans with strings attached that they don't tell you about. Will sign you up, then recommend a DIFFERENT vet to go to right afterwards, while still taking your monthly payments. And prescriptions for pets? "Oh order it off Chewy because we don't carry it." Wanna cancel? Nah your stuck for a year paying even if said pet no longer is living. But they will keep sending you things, reminding you that said deceased pet needs a checkup, and leave them a review.

I highly recommend Banfield Westlake. Dr. Rijos is wonderful, empathetic, kind, and very knowledgeable. She helped with one of my pets, who was ill, and took the time to listen to me and offer suggestions. She properly diagnosed my dog without extensive testing (went to MedVet for the cancer testing), and was there every step of the way. Thank you for your compassion and love for our pets, and all you do.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
