We have been going to various banfield locations with our 2 cats for about 4 years. I have had some very good vets and usually a very positive experience with receptionists but there have now been a major concern with each of my cats that was just waived off as something small. My forst cat about 3 years ago had a UTI from resource guarding and Banfield Easton told us its just stress give her gabapentin and she will be fine. Our second cat has been showing signs of asthma or other respiratory issues for almost 2 years on and off. The first time they just listened to his lungs and said hes fine. Then it stopped until about a month ago this time we were told he has allergies and given allergy pills. The symptoms got worse and i took him to urgent care. He had an inflamed esophagus and some minor signs of asthma. The urgent care gave him new meds and checked him throughly and gave me a plan for his recovery. The urgent care total cost (urgent care fee, xrays, radiologist, blood work, pills, injection for inflamation, etc.) was also less than the estimated xray cost at banfield. We will be switching vets to somewhere we are being listened to and not being robbed blind.

I took my dog to bainfield vet my granddaughter takes her pets there. They did their thing told me my dog has a slight heart murmur but nothing to worry about. My dog was kinda sick sounded like he had something stuck in his throat I was told to take him somewhere else so I had to find a vet not hospital a vet xrays were taken and he has heart disease and is at a level six the gagging was from build up from the heart disease. Instantly put on medication. Lesson learned the wellness plans that I pay over $80.00 a month cannot be canceled. If I am told to take my dog somewhere else why do I need their wellness plan? If medication is not given that the dog really needs why do I need a wellness plan

Stay away. Came because my cat had an eye issue. Was given some medicine and told if it didn’t get better in a couple of days to order a prescription. I went to order prescription eye drops, but chewy.com was out. Read that there is oral medication for the issue. Called and was told that the vet, Dr Takahashi, didn’t want him on oral meds and that they would send the prescription elsewhere. Got an email from Wedgewood pharmacy that night saying they had an order. Went to place order, medication is out of stock. Looked online and read there is a shortage of the eye medicine Put an order for the oral meds on chewy. Had to wait a couple of days to call vet office due to a snow storm. Was told dr Takahashi wasn’t in, but the vet in office used the oral medicine for eye issues in the past and it worked, but they would have to get dr Takahashi’s approval. Got a call later that said dr Takahashi again didn’t want him on oral medication and that the prescription was sent to Wedgwood and they would call…I talked to wedgewood later and was told the prescription would not be filled for 60 DAYS!!! So now it has been a week, my cat still has an issue with his eye and no working medicine. We have gone to various Banfields for years…no more

Honestly please be careful going here. I learned recently that the veterinary staff here was basically fresh out of school. Which makes sense since they didnt know how to get an xray and dismissed my dog's persistent injury as a simple sprain with very little examination.

The staff is great but the billing system needs a lot of work. We did the puppy package and paid a bill at each visit. Then we got notified by a debt collector that we owed $1,500 to Banfield despite Banfield never reaching out to notifying us of a late amount that was due. My husband tried to pay it at the puppies 12 month visit and found out that we were banned from using their services due to a one stroke policy on late payments. I have double checked each bill from a prior visit and do not see a remaining balance. This extra cost was not explained by the company and we have had to relocate to a new veterinarian for ongoing service. Again, we loved the visits with staff. Unfortunately, we will be unable to continue care due to a “no tolerance” Policy on late payments for a veterinarian that kept our payment information on file and zeroed our balance at every visit.
