  This is the first time I took my little fur baby to the Upper Arlington PETCO location April 6, 2026, I keep thinking about how she was treated and the hair cut she received and it still bothers me where I had to say something. I was gonna let it go never to return but I am still very upset. I informed the groomer repeatedly how to trim her and NOT cut her tail , and she did it anyway. When I arrive to pick her up she was barking non-stop she only does this when she is feeling stressed or frightened, that bothers me the most. This left me a strong impression that she may not have been treated with the level of care, patience and kindness I expected from a professional grooming service. Bella is a beloved member of my family, and her comfort and wellbeing are extremely important to me. I trusted PETCO to provide a safe and compassionate environment, and this experience has shaken that trust. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and review the handling and communication practices at this location seriously. Respectfully this is my experience and it was upsetting.

  DO NOT COME FOR GROOMING. I had one of the WORST grooming experiences I’ve ever had here. I brought in my pitbull, Mozzy, who is extremely friendly and has been groomed at multiple Petco locations with absolutely zero issues. Within FIVE minutes of dropping him off, I got a call saying I needed to come pick him up because he was “aggressive” and supposedly tried to bite the groomer and her coworker while they were doing his nails. First of all, Mozzy has NEVER been aggressive in his 4 years of life. Ever. And at other locations, if there’s something he doesn’t like, the groomers act like actual professionals: they pause, move on to another part of the groom, or work with the dog. They don’t immediately give up and label a dog aggressive. Instead, they threw him in a kennel until I could come get him. Completely unprofessional and honestly upsetting. The groomer (BREE) gave off a bad vibe from the moment I walked in, no warm greeting, no friendliness, no effort to make my dog feel comfortable. As a groomer, you’re supposed to create a calm, welcoming environment for animals. That clearly did NOT happen here. I truly believe my dog was scared because of how he was handled. I’ve since seen another review saying the same thing about groomer’s attitude, so clearly this isn’t a one-time issue. If you don’t know how to properly work with dogs — especially large breeds — you shouldn’t be grooming them!!!! I will NEVER return to this location and absolutely do NOT recommend trusting them with your pets.

  Groomer was very good. She did exactly what I asked her to do. Petco charges way too much though…
