- NCNicole ClemmonsDec 11, 20252.0I'm really surprised by all of the positive reviews. Perhaps we had a one-off negative experience. I took my cat in for a dew claw that needed trimmed. It was not ingrown, but I didn't feel comfortable cutting it myself. I told them this was the issue in advance (the only reason for the visit). We waited quite a while, and then were put in a room that had just had multiple dogs in it, and smelled terrible. To her credit, the tech did acknowledge and apologize for how awful it smelled. The vet came in, saw the nail was not ingrown, and then proceeded to do a quick physical exam without explaining or asking if I wanted a physical exam. I was told my cat has a heart murmur, and then she (somewhat forcefully) recommended broad lab work to attempt to identify the cause, even though the cat is otherwise healthy and I politely declined from the beginning. The vet also spontaneously inquired about and then gave me a hard time about vaccinations, even after I politely declined. In the end, we ended up paying for a vet exam and a nail trim. In hindsight, this should have simply been a nail trim/vet tech visit. It felt as if they were trying to "upsell" me into additional add-ons/costs/services, which I was not a fan of. Again, seems like they have very positive reviews, so maybe I was an exception... but I wanted to post in case others have had a similar experience. On the positive site, they did get me in the same day and the exam fee is comparable to other vet clinics.
