I thought it was important for them to be aware. The person on the phone showed no sympathy, simply stating it was past the 30-day policy. Their only follow-up was to suggest I "just buy another one." As a result, we were left with no answers and a profound sense of disappointment in how the store handled a sensitive situation. For our family, the loss of a pet is a sad event, and the store's lack of concern was very upsetting. While I understand that store policies exist, the complete lack of compassion and the callous suggestion to simply "buy another one" is unacceptable. This store failed to provide basic human decency and care for a pet they sold us, like the bird was nothing more than an item sold.
