- SAShwetha AcharyaNov 11, 20251.0QUALITY OF CARE IS TERRIBLE. THE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL. My puppy had a surgery which was recommended by one of veterinary doctor. Pre and post surgery care is terrible. 1. They don't do any follow-up calls to check on the pets. They found something in my puppy's stomach during the surgery and took no pictures or made no notes to provide to us. When I called them to check on what was it they found in his stomach they had no answers and said they are sorry they did not call us with a follow up and assured they will call the next day to check on him. And again no news. 2. They had put sutures on the stomach which was supposed to be removed as per the notes they sent home. But they told us at discharge he doesnt need to be seen again unless he has issues since it’s dissolvable sutures. 10-14 days post surgery we saw some bumps and the suture wasn't dissolved so we called to find out if he needs it removed. And again they said he doesn't need to be seen. It will be dissolved. we waited. 10 more days passed he had bigger bumps by the stitches and then they said they will see him. And finally told us he had sutures to be removed. 3. The front desk is always very unprofessional and cares less about dogs. I have ever seen them greeting people/ pets. When I expressed my feedback they didn’t care less. We have another dog and have used other veterinary services prior to going to Healthy Pets of Lewis Center. With our new puppy and moving houses we found this place since it was closer to home. And we regret. I don’t think they even deserve 1 star..

My cat passed away over the weekend unexpectedly and when I called Monday morning to get a referral to OSU for a necropsy, I was treated with annoyance and told I couldn't expect anyone to be available to submit the referral. I had to call 4 times before finally getting it and not once did anyone offer condolences. Then the results came back from OSU to my vet and no one bothered to contact me. When I finally called in, I was told they had the results for a while but couldn't reach me and a vet would call back. The vet had no problem reaching me. Other cat was brought in for vaccines. Over 1.5 years passed with no reminders from the vet and I suddenly realized how much time had passed. Other issues as well. I have moved my pets to a different vet as this one does NOT care about you or your pets.
