  Before my dog passed, we went to Dr Chip Taylor at the Healthy Pets of Wedgewood. That was several years ago and I finally got another puppy and went to the Lewis Center location. For some reason, this puppy is throwing me for a loop and I feel like I'm a 1st time mom and that I have an instant toddler...lol! We start with a trainer in 2 days but I needed to get Bella into a vet for shots beforehand. I was SO thankful because I called on Monday and work 8-5 m-f, so I didn't know how it would be possible, but they got me an evening appt the next day. Dr Kaplan was SO good with Bella (as well as the assistant but I can't remember her name)!! They both loved on her for a while before doing anything medical, actually WHILE she was sitting on the floor petting Bella, she had given her a shot and I hadn't even realized it until the 2nd one. Bella didn't wince or jerk, to her, she was just getting loved on. I've never seen any vet do it like that was very impressed. They both took the time to answer all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all, so much so that I didn't even realize we were the last people in there in there until I saw them lock the doors and turn off the lights when I left. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly. I've always told people that anytime I took Spike to the vet, I always left spending $400+ but Bella got all of her needed shots and a couple of extra things and with the visit it was all less than $200, so I was pleasantly surprised. The office is clean, there's plenty of parking, it's easy to get to and we had no wait time. Thanks again Dr Kaplan and to everyone else, I can't recommend them enough!

  We drove an hour and 20 minutes to get an opinion on my dogs torn ACL( they had already fixed the other side 2 years ago). Our local veterinary office wanted to sedate him to get X-rays because he non stop barks at them and they seem afraid of him. At Healthy Pets of Lewis Center, Hank didn’t bark and let Dr. Buck exam him and take X-rays while he was awake. It maybe farther to get there but we will be switching because Hank is so much calmer and relaxed there.

  Healthy Pets cared for our Australian Shepherd for 15 years. Everyone here is absolutely fantastic! From the doctors to the staff to Heather the groomer. Our dog was a little high strong and didn’t like visiting the vet, but everyone at Healthy Pets of Lewis Center made every visit customized for her to make you feel more comfortable. Thank you, Healthy Pets for taking care of Harper!

  This place is a joke. If you want to bring your animal in just to get a simple answer for $70 that most vets could provide to you over the phone, this might be the place for you. If you want to pick up a paper prescription just to drive it to the pharmacy EVERYTIME like it’s 1972, this might be the place for you. If you want to bring your animal to a place where they don’t care whether you leave or not …. Guessed it, this is it!! I’ve urged my partner to find a new vet for years, and when she did she’s raving about the standard stuff. I had to remind her that this place thrives off taking your money but now she understands. This comment is for those looking for a new vet, I’d highly suggest skip this one. Respectfully. — this response is basically how they replied when we asked to have our dogs paper work sent. No one cares
