Veterinarian
We are a general veterinary practice that treats animals in clinic, on farms, and at stables throughout Hardin and surrounding counties. We are equipped for outpatient care for companion animals, horses, and food animals. Our practice uses diagnostic and treatment techniques including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house lab services and orthopedic surgery. Emphasis is placed on client education and preventative care. Our staff members are knowledgeable and enjoy working with our patients. We provide professional, medical, and surgical care in an informal environment. Many of our regular clients become friends as well.

We recently had our dog put down, and we were expecting a clay paw print, but were instead given a paper paw print. Afterward, I called the clinic to make a simple recommendation — that for future families, the clinic should clearly disclose that they only offer paper paw prints and not clay, so expectations are set ahead of time. This recommendation was made respectfully and was not meant as an argument or complaint. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke with responded dismissively and then hung up on me mid-conversation. Being hung up on while grieving the loss of a pet is unacceptable. Clear communication and compassion are especially important in situations like this, and neither was shown during that call. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously so other families do not experience the same confusion or added distress during such a difficult moment.
