We called on saturday feb 14th to this location and the receptionist hung up on me, i heard her place it on the receiver. I think she was annoyed because i asked if they could squeeze us in that day, but i only called and asked that because grove city banfield told us to call them, and grove city always squeezes us in, sometimes even same day, theyre so amazing with us because we do spend a ton of money with banfield because we rescue and foster animals on our own dime. We initially called grove city and this one time they truly could not squeeze us in (it was a minor emergency but not really because we’ve recently taken him in for this issue once to an emergency vet and once to banfield gc and both times they said he did not have a blockage) but he seemed to be in pain so we wanted to just have them check him out to be sure hes not in life threatening danger. I would not typically ask a vet to squeeze us in same day but grove city location has truly set a precedent of being willing to help us since we have so many cats on wellness plans there & they literally suggested we call another location bc they truly couldnt that day. But when we got on the phone with this person at hilliard she was just a bit rude and irritated that we didnt just up and take him to the emergency room, but weve already done that twice recently and both times they said there was no blockage so we were just hoping for some compassion/interest in seeing if they could help us. Id understand hanging up on me if i were abrasive or rude (i do not believe the customer is always right) but i wasnt, i was very polite the entire call. Honestly if you cant handle dealing with people and keeping your cool you dont deserve to have a job dealing with people. Also wasnt cool to treat us that way when we were already in distress worried about our boy. We are now considering canceling all 5 of our wellness plans and switching to georgesville pet hospital because we had a really great experience with them recently, much better prices there too.

They push the wellness plan a bit too hard. We went there with our dog February 1st, and the renewal of the wellness plan was scheduled for mid-March. Our dog was due for shots and we were asked to pay over $100, which doesn't make any sense, because we still had the wellness plan. We were informated that we would get the discount if we would renew the plan (45 days early?). We declinded and canceled the renewal of the wellness plan as well. It's a money pit!

I’ve been bringing my dogs here for quite some time, and overall I’ve usually had great experiences. The doctors are excellent, specially Dr. Cynthia, she is the best! which is why I’ve continued coming back.
Unfortunately, today’s visit left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. When I arrived, I was waiting to be helped while one staff member was assisting another customer. Then another staff member showed up and told her co-worker “I’ll take care of her, you take care of the other client" I wasn’t acknowledged afterward, and the staff member continued talking with a coworker about work matters and about the other client's pet, still without acknowledging me. She was serious the whole time (I thought maybe she was having a bad/busy day, no big deal, we all have those days). But when I was waiting for my dogs to be brought out, that same staff member began assisting the customer who arrived after me. She greeted her with a big smile, was very polite, and her tone of voice noticeably changed. The contrast stood out to me.
One is my dogs is very energetic. She’s generally very sweet but can be hyper, especially around people she doesn’t feel fully comfortable with. While I understand that working with animals can be challenging, I was uncomfortable with how she was physically handled. When my dog was moving around too much and would not let me put on her harness, my dog jumped up and the staff member pushed her face downward to make her stop moving. That lack of patience was concerning to me, especially when you’re trusting someone with your pets. Dogs aren’t just animals to us pet parents, they’re our loved ones.
To be fair, the staff member did help me put the harness on, which I appreciated. However, her overall attitude throughout the whole visit and the way that situation was handled made me question how pets are treated when they’re dropped off out of sight. I’ve also heard similar concerns from friends who used to bring their dogs here but no longer do so because of experiences like this, and today made me worry that this may be the same person they were talking to me about.
I work in customer service myself, so I don’t write this lightly. As a customer, you expect to be treated with respect and kindness, especially in a place that cares for animals. I truly like this clinic and the doctors are great, but today’s experience was not what I’ve come to expect.
For reference, the staff member who assisted me today was wearing a pink bandana. I do not remember her name.

They were so sweet to my pup! Respected the fact that he is deaf and made him so comfortable to be there.
