Love the team at banfield. They’re super efficient, flexible, thorough and loving to our little furballs. They have a great annual care program that ensures my girls health is top priority and I don’t miss any appointments for their general well-being. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with every member of the team I’ve engaged with. Thanks for loving on Trixxie and boba. 🐶❤️

I will say this. Avoid this vet group at all costs. I should have learned from our first dog and never returned but we decided to give them a second chance. Last year in september we took our dog to banfield because she was struggling to breathe. They performed xrays and the works. Found that she just had "allergies" and sent her home with medication. A couple of days later it worsened to we took her to another vet for a second opinion. This vet simply touched and examined her. No xray no blood work nothing. Looked at us and said he can feel masses on her. At that point we got xrays done and the vet confirmed she had cancerous masses on her lungs. Stomach and other major organs. We ended up having to put her down. Regardless of this situation we simply called and said hey you guys missed this. Please just do better. At which point staff became very defensive. Whatever thats in the past. Fast forward to 3 days ago. We switched to a different banfield location. Different vets. Different staff etc. We brought our other dog to banfield for her 6 month checkup. Vaccines etc. They "examined' her. I told them she had been lethargic and not eating proper. They performed the exam and told us we need to do xrays and bloodwork. Sounds familiar. But they didn't see anything else. So following the same story as before. 12 hours later. The very next morning I brought her to another vet. This vet was busy but made time for us because we told them about our concern and what banfield wished to do with her. Within an hour. This vet called us back and said "shes jaundice. We told them that banfield hadn't noticed it, and they said it was the first thing they noticed and its not possible for it to have happened in a 12 hour period. At this point we agreed to bloodwork and an ultrasound that came back to cancerous masses on her spleen and liver. Unfortunately shes terminal. Today we decided to call banfield simply to tell them "hey you guys missed a case of jaundice do better" at which point the office manager then began to berate us and say the vet is thorough and no way he missed anything and its our fault for denying blood work. And its not their fault they missed it. I have 2 things to say about that statement. 1: the best vets. The best doctors. The best of anything make mistakes. We weren't looking for a handout or anything. We simply wanted to say "hey you missed this do better" that way somebody else's baby could possibly not be in this situation. Whether the vet had seen this or not wouldnt change the outcome for our girl. And 2: as somebody who deals with clinical side of medicine for many years. How is an office manager who has no clinical experience going to sit here and argue with us about missing jaundice? You dont require bloodwork for jaundice. Its something you see during a physical examination. Im not even mad they missed it. Im mad that rather than saying "were sorry about that" you go on an absolute tirade blaming the family. So, since the office doesn't want to hear it I'll just make a public review voicing my opinion. Avoid this vet practice. Not only did they miss one case that could of prevented it worsening. They missed 2, and then want to argue about it. Hopefully somebody higher up sees this message and will get their shit together. No matter what your opinion is. You dont speak to somebody that way when they're grieving. Could you imagine a doctor calls you "hey your kid is dying of cancer, and its your fault not ours."
