- MLMelissa Leeth5 days ago1.0I bought a baby leopard gecko on February 9th 2026, im fairly new to the reptile world so I wasn’t entirely aware that the little dude I chose was so bad sick 😞 the exotic vet I took him too said he has stick tail disease! They house the reptiles so unbelievably wrong it’s wild. The people that work there? No knowledge. Especially the *excuse my language* bigger girl that works in there, she just seems like she hates her life and can’t tell ya a thing about any of those precious babies in there. But aside from all that, how hard is it to learn yourself basic reptile knowledge if you are going to be working with them and HOW HARD IS IT TO PREPARE THESE BABIES BEFORE THEY ARE EVEN PUT IN THE ENCLOSURES SO THEY DO NOT GET SICK. So so so sad. I had already gotten so close to my little buddy and he’s gone. THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO EVEN HAVE REPTILES IN THEIR CARE. 😭😭😞

Firstly they aren’t meant to be housed together, which it’s a pet store so I understand how difficult it can be with space. But you can clearly see one has a slightly fatter tail whilst the other one has simply given up. So they’re sold at 50% off in the hopes some random will see it as a good deal. When I walk around and this is the impression I get of the company, it simply shows there’s a humongous lack of care for life in the store and that gets you questioning where else they may be lacking (half the feeders are dead most the time) Literally find someone that can make a better enclosure and to make sure they’re fed, if this is the corporate way to do it and rules can’t be fixed to help the animals you sell then that speaks for itself.
