Dr. Tateman is the only redeeming factor of this business location. She is an excellent caregiver and very personable. She is the only reason we will continue here. Avoid Dr. Clingner at all costs. Refuses to evaluate a fur baby with parents present which feels very sketchy. When you do get a conversation with her she is rushed and becomes irritated with any clarifying questions.

My partner and I recently adopted a dog in spring of 2025, and our experiences with Banfield Pet Hospital have unfortunately led to enormous stress and frustration for us, our dog, and even damage to our home. This should have been a time where our new pet received care, support, and guidance. Instead, it has caused repeated setbacks that left us feeling ignored, dismissed, and unsupported. We began with the Beavercreek location for basic bloodwork and services included in our wellness plan. We were open about our dog’s anxiety and even followed the shelter’s recommended calming medication before the appointment. Despite scheduling specifically for bloodwork, the clinic did not perform it—twice. Both visits ended with nothing more than a quick basic exam and instructions to return another day. No new treatment options were provided, and no progress was made. The entire experience felt disorganized and unhelpful. As our dog’s anxiety escalated over the next weeks, we reached out to both the Beavercreek and Centerville locations by phone in the hope that someone could provide guidance or prescribe additional support. We were repeatedly told no, with minimal advice offered. Meanwhile, her panic was increasing, our home was sustaining damage during her episodes, and both my partner and I were struggling physically and emotionally trying to manage the situation ourselves. Eventually, we had to take emergency action. We visited MedVet in Moraine—and the difference was night and day. MedVet gave us our own private waiting room to keep our dog calm, checked on us regularly, offered guidance, answered questions, prescribed medication, and made it clear that we could return or call at any time. The level of compassion and professionalism there was something we never experienced at Banfield. Even after this, we still gave Banfield one final try at the Centerville location. We called ahead to request sedation for our dog so bloodwork could finally be completed, and were reassured that this would be no problem. Yet when we arrived, we were again turned away and asked to reschedule because sedation wasn’t available. We were not given the time or space to ask questions, address concerns, or discuss next steps. The entire interaction felt rushed, disinterested, and dismissive. At this point, after multiple visits and multiple locations, we still have none of the basic services we have been paying for through the wellness plan. Over multiple visits, what we repeatedly experienced was a heavy emphasis on Banfield-branded products and internal offerings, while the actual medical care and personalized support seemed secondary. This may not be true for every location, but it was a pattern that became impossible for us to ignore. It left us feeling like the focus was on selling—not treating. Because of this, we will be canceling our wellness plan. It simply hasn’t provided the value or care we were promised. The wellbeing of our dog—and frankly, our own health and home—have suffered because we couldn’t get timely or effective care through Banfield, despite doing everything asked of us and calling ahead to prevent these issues. If you are considering Banfield, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are veterinary clinics and emergency hospitals—like MedVet—that delivered more compassion, more medical support, more clarity, and more results in a single visit than Banfield did across several. For the sake of your pet and your peace of mind, please explore other options. In our experience, Banfield did not provide the quality of care we needed or the level of support we believe pets deserve.

took the Vet 1 week to reach out to me with my puppy result after calling 3 times than asked if he could continue his antibiotic because he was responding to antibiotic well but haven't heard anything from the vet. I lost my best friend and baby because of this. I would never recommend anyone going to this place at all. I just canceled his wellness plan since he has passed on and after discussing this matter with my family, I am also cancelling my other 5 fur baby wellness plan.

The scheduling was a bit messed up but they fixed it and the service was great.
