First time ever visiting Petco store this week. Recently became a new pet owner. This is my first time ever owning a dog and felt completely lost on where to start. Petco you did AMAZING hiring your dog trainer Sabrina!!! She was just incredible , asked me questions I never thought of , guided me on what food to start with , encouraged me to start crate training immediately, helped explain all the vaccines to expect getting(even the vet wasn’t that great on the details) and just eased the overwhelming feeling of getting a new puppy. I will definitely be looking to book training with her soon. This company should definitely be aware of the gem of an employee you have there! 😁

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to take a minute to say how great my experience was at the Yonkers Petco this past Sunday. Pete helped me and he was awesome! You can tell right away he actually cares, not just about doing his job, but about people and their pets. He didn’t rush me, didn’t talk over me, and made sure I understood everything I needed without making it feel overwhelming. What stood out most was how genuine he was. He asked questions, paid attention, and explained Petco’s premier plan, which actually made sense for my situation instead of just trying to sell me something. That kind of honesty is rare these days. The store itself was clean and organized, but Pete is really what made my visit stand out. The next time I visit the store I'll be sure to look for him. Petco is lucky to have someone like Pete representing the store!!

if you ever go to this location, do not waste your time waiting in line to be checked out. If you wait in line to be checked out any random person can just walk up to the counter and be rung up before you because the cashiers they’re not paying attention to people who are waiting in line. I had a horrible experience on Saturday when I went to purchase one item, I patiently waited for a guy to be ring up And checked out, and then there was another guy who was ahead of me, put his bag of cat food down went to the restroom because the restroom is right by the cash register so I guess he thought putting his cat food by the counter that’s gonna hold his place in line so then now he comes out the restroom and then cuts in front of me and I’m looking at him like you are no longer in the line you went to the restroom I didn’t say anything cause I said you know what it is gonna be a big argument if I say anything, and I’m not gonna waste my time then after he rings up that guy next thing you know this woman Comes from the veterinary side and grabs an item off the counter and act like she’s asking for a price so I’m like OK. I guess she’s getting a price check next thing You know he’s checking her out too. So now I walk over to the counter and I said I said to him in the most respectful way possible I said next time, please turn your your head to the section where the customers are supposed to be in line because I was waiting in line and you checked out two people ahead of me and then he looks at me and had the nerve to say she went to the veterinarian to ask a question. Excuse me when I walked through the door her and her dog was at the counter, talking to a veterinarian, and I went and grabbed the food that I wanted to purchase waited in line and then two people got up in front of me and then she now comes and cut in front of me and you rang her up so she is not in any line so telling me that she wanted to ask a question like if she was already in the line waiting, she Was not so that’s no excuse when I explain that to him his response is OK no apology no nothing so now I know if I ever go back to that place I’m not gonna line up. I’m just gonna walk up to the counter and they better ring me out. I don’t care if there’s 1 million people patiently waiting Because clearly there’s no line system there Everybody should just walk up to the counter.

If you absolutely love and care for your fur baby please do not bring them to this location to get groomed someone named jordan at this location who is completely unqualified to do any groomings unfortunately groomed my sisters fur baby he went in fine and came out having to go to the vet . They cut his eye ball and he ended up having an ulcer he had to wear a cone and was in so much pain and his private areas were razor burned . You bring your fur baby for a professional grooming and these people have just anybody working here grroming your dogs. Please beware

I’ve been a customer for years and I run into an associate called Danielle who always gives me a hard time to buy my fish along with a nasty attitude and denying me the purchase of a fish im looking for. Every single time ive been there she gives me a problem and we were there to buy other animals but she made our experience so bad we decided not to buy. At this point your losing customers because of this associate because I wont be coming back and I have family members that have had the same problem with this woman every time they’ve been to the store.
