Veterinarian availability varies—book an appointment to ensure one is onsite. Clinics provide only routine vaccines and preventive tests. For emergencies, visit the nearest emergency vet hospital.
I will start off by saying that the only reason why I gave at least a star is because the condition I brought my puppy in for was helped by the treatment plan provided by the vet. Sadly, it does not make up for the other red flags that came up during this first visit and I would not recommend this place to other pet parents. I interacted with a vet technician for most of my visit, which I was fine with. However, went the veterinarian walked in, he barely acknowledged me beyond a simple "hi" and as he was performing the exam started conversing with the vet tech.
When a client is paying for your time and expertise, even for 10 minutes, I would have expected a simple explanation of your observations or questions to help guide the observations you would be making as a vet. Instead, he started making what I thought to be disparaging comments about my puppy's breed (she is a rescue), telling the vet tech how "these people try to make their dog's breeds sound better when they are all just pitbulls."
The vet tech then surmises that the dog may be a mix of "put and shepherd," to which the vet goes, "what did THEY put down as her breed?" all as i am sitting on the bench playing audience to their banter. Moreover, from the very beginning of the appointment, I had expressed to the vet tech my interest in using a first visit free coupon. I want to go with a vet that I can trust and using a complimentary visit is my way to asses which practice to establish a long-term relationship with, risk-free. Not only did she consistently ignore my request, she kept overwhelming me with continuous and unexpected additions to my invoice, some of them useful, some of them just obvious tactics to pad the bill hoping I was one of those loaded (i am not) clients that would just pay for anything and everything. I was so mentally fatigued from having to talk through iterations of the invoice 5 times that towards the end, I didn't even remember to bring up the damned first free visit coupon. The cost of a wellness exam ended up being comparable to what you would pay at a local, AAHA-certified vet practice, even though I got 10 minutes of people talking over me and some canned, generic medical record that I will now take to the previous vet I had sent my puppy to.
If you care about getting good value for veterinary care, do not want to have to feel self conscious about your dog's breed, and want to be respected as a human being even though your pet is a patient, do not take your pet to Vetco Yonkers. Vetco does not offer the kind of authentic customer service and value for money that its retail parent brand is better known for. Don't be fooled.

I had a deeply frustrating experience at this "veterinary office". From the moment I arrived, the place felt chaotic and poorly managed. Front desk was goofing off and on her phone, staff disorganized, and no clear communication. The vet was impersonal and rushed through the exam with my pet, barely acknowledging all of his parts like teeth and eyes before moving on. It felt like a conveyor belt of animals rather than a place of true care. When I asked questions, the vet tech seemed unsure and was clearly guessing, which did nothing to reassure me about my pet’s health.
What really upset me though besides how they hawk the most expensive insurance option was that they canceled a follow-up appointment without notifying me, apparently because I didn’t call back about lab results. Since when does a missed callback justify canceling an appointment without consent or confirmation? That’s not just unprofessional, it’s irresponsible. The whole operation felt money hungry, more focused on billing than providing thoughtful care. I left feeling like my pet was just another transaction, not a patient. If you’re looking for a vet that values communication, compassion, and competence, this is certainly not the place for that. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for veterinary care that actually puts animals and their owners first. My new vet has already identified issues missed by this place at a fraction of the cost.

Vetco presta un Excellente servicio, el personal es muy arable. Yo he llevado Los perros a vacunar durante muchos años y Los paquetes de vacunas son bastante economicos.

Horrible!
Don’t take your pet here; they don’t value their customers time. I waited close to two hours to be serviced but instead was neglected because my dog wasn’t “sick”. They don’t care if you have an appointment here it’s not prioritized; they literally let people who came after me be serviced before my severely anxious dog & I. The supervisor was rude and absolutely condensing! No help whatsoever and not even an apology. I have reported them to the BBB & made a complaint with petco! All dogs should be attended to the same & professionalism needs an extreme amount of work here. I left, it’s not worth it!
