I explained to the very nice receptionist that I was unsure of what else to do. She said the doctor will check her out and go from there. We went in, I explained the situation to Dr. Grewal, and he disregarded almost everything I said and would only listen to my Fiancé. I explained she has fleas, and is continuously biting herself trying to get them. She was losing hair because of it and had a scab on the back of her shoulder blades from scratching. He said "I see no flea dust so she doesn't have fleas so I think its more of a dermatitis or allergies." He only looked at the scab on her back, and didn't look her over for fleas on her body. My cat has never had allergies, and she had fleas on her the night before the appointment. She was given 3 unnecessary shots including one for allergies and one for distemper. She was anxious and hissing in the exam room, and I tried explaining she's an absolute love at home and not like this at all. I know my cats behavior at home. He disregarded what I said and was adamant she needed distemper and allergy shots. I walked out of there with a $240 bill and no solution to my cat having fleas. A month later, she still has fleas and is missing more hair than ever. I trusted his word as he's the professional. No flea treatment was even considered. I will definitely not be going back to Ridgemont Animal Hospital because of the way I was dismissed and my cat is still struggling with fleas.
