I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Bond Vet. They misdiagnosed my cat with ringworm and immediately prescribed medication. After running the actual tests, there was no sign of ringworm and no signs of any bacterial infection at all. So my cat was given medication she didn’t even need.
What makes this worse is how the situation was handled afterward. I called to ask about at least a partial refund, understanding that lab work and services cost money. No one got back to me for a while, and when they finally did, the response was dismissive and disrespectful. They refused to offer any refund or take accountability for the misdiagnosis.
As a pet owner, you trust your vet with your animal’s health. This experience felt careless and unprofessional. I would not recommend Bond Vet based on how this was handled. (Based on my experience, it honestly felt like they didn’t know what they were doing, especially after I spent over 500 dollars, it felt like they were just trying to get more out of me.)
When our Reese needed urgent care, the team at Bond Vet got us in immediately and saved our Reese’s life. Dr. Stanton was wonderful, professional, and explained everything while providing us with immense sympathy during a scary time. The entire staff is incredibly attentive. This is, without a doubt, the best veterinary practice we have ever used." After they saved her life, we still continue to visit Dr. Stanton and Bayside Bond Vet. She continues with such great care, Reese loves seeing her! I would highly recommend using Bayside Bond Vet
We took our cat Tilly for the first time to this event and we didn't know what to expect being that we've never been there, and they went way above our expectations. This place is highly knowledgeable, very patient and kind and very thorough and very informative. I don't even want to go back to my old vet I've been using for years, I rather go to Bond in Bayside. The original vet that we go to is not open on the weekends, so we took a shot with this place and Dr Hugh Giffords was amazing, as well as his staff. I was highly impressed and I felt very comfortable with them and very relieved that we went to this facility and will have no problem taking my cats here again. I plan on taking my other cat here soon for a regular checkup. Once again, VERY impressed with the professionalism and knowledge and time they took and the amount of care we received.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Stanton, Dr. Jun and the entire nursing team at Bond Vet Bayside especially Melissa, Charlotte, Stefania, Andre, Sam and the vet assistants Kayla, Eldy, Cav and clinic manager Glenda! They have taken extraordinary care of our 13.5 year old Yorkie, Louie, who has chronic kidney disease, and their compassion, patience, and dedication mean the world to us.
From day one, they have gone above and beyond to support Louie’s daily fluid needs, always taking the time to explain everything, answer questions, and make sure he is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. It’s so clear that this team truly loves animals — Louie isn’t just a patient to them, he’s treated like family.
Dr. Stanton’s knowledge, kindness, and attentiveness, paired with an incredible nursing staff who genuinely care about Louie’s well-being, has given us so much peace of mind during a very emotional time. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional care, empathy, and love they show every single visit.
Bond Vet Bayside is a special place, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found a team we trust so completely with our sweet boy.
Apalled, shocked, and disappointed
(tl:dr ahead.)
Unless you act in a certain manner “as expected”, consider business elsewhere; because if you happen to be judged by their manager as “some type” of customer, they will have differential treatment toward you.
Now, the experience, story, and sentiment:
As a fur baby parent of 2 now; I was looking for veterinarian option in the neighborhood near me and found here.
So they are running these promotion(s) which your pet’s wellness visit is free, and if follow up with a paid wellness visit between Tuesday thru Thursday; they will also check fecal matter, heartworm, and ticks and mite prevention (this according to them is called the Winter Wellness Visit)
Now as a consumer, it is obvious one need to find out all the details relating to a promotions; and that is exactly what I did before and when I visited for the first time to take advantage of their promotion for first pet visit.
Now, when I had scheduled a follow up visit; I double checked on their promotion detail again to make sure my understanding is valid.
However, upon visit at the second appointment and checking in, they told us on the spot the promo for Winter Wellness cannot be used…which was dumbfounded.
Then the worker who checked us in goes and said “oh we told you this already” “I was here that day when we told you and you can’t tell me I’m wrong in what I heard” shows me her computer note that they written saying they told us we cannot use it.
Then we asked for the manager; a lady came in without introducing herself and just stated she told her staff the customers can only use one coupon and “cannot just coupons as they please to do so”
We told her that we had checked with your customer service over and over again and that we also have fur-parents who went to your other location to do it without issue.
Then she just goes “ yeah well if other location does it you can go but I won’t be able to honor anything for you today. Do you still want to continue?”
At this point, we felt extremely frustrated upset at this change of attitude. I asked the lady to double check with her end on her own products and she said ok will do.
After 30min-1 HR after I left. I had called and checked with their online customer service to make sure my understanding of their promotion is correct; to which all of their customer service stated they were under the impression of as well, and they checked andfiled complaint with their customer service center and also a lady named Glenda called, whom now identifies as the manager whom spoken to us earlier, said she checked with her PR team and that I was right; and that because she had her own thoughts that we were “that type” of customer who just want to take advantage of them.
I told her I am very upset because not only time wasted but due to her own lack of knowledge on her company promotion she denied me service and gave us bad experience. I asked her to consider providing a response in sincerity.
She just goes well what do you want me to do? How bout I offer you a 10% coupon off of your next visit? Tell me, for the you who made it here reading this ( thank you by the way) not only did you not get a proper apology but it is as if they try to buy you off with a (discount) coupon?
Sorry but you lost a business in me and anyone else we know going forward.
Im sure that wouldn’t matter because your customer service didn’t bother to return me a call for filed complaint anyway.
