Bond Vet — Astoria is Queens’ modern and convenient veterinary clinic. At Bond Vet, we provide both primary and urgent care, which means we can be your go-to vet for any service. Primary care means annual wellness exams, vaccinations and heartworm treatment, while urgent care is needed for symptoms that require timely medical attention, be it a wound, a rash, diarrhea, coughing, behavioral changes, limping or other non-life-threatening symptoms. We started Bond to modernize the vet care experience — our mission is to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care. That’s why we offer a wide range of medical services including annual wellness exams, vaccines, spays, neuters, dental cleanings, mass removals and even specialty orthopedic surgeries — we are qualified and more than happy to be your primary care vet. We know pets and pet parents haven’t always enjoyed visits to the vet, but we want to change that. Our clinic is warm and welcoming, with natural lighting, a treat bar, comfortable furniture, sniffable spaces and hydration stations for pets and people. In the clinics, our team is compassionate, caring, and completely dedicated to providing best-in-class veterinary care to your pet. Bond clients love our technology — we make it easy and seamless to book appointments, access medical records, and communicate with our medical team. Because we know price is a major factor in vet care, we will always offer several paths forward, along with pricing for any diagnostics or next steps. We will never pressure you into more tests and treatments than you’re comfortable doing, and we’ll save you time by helping you file pet insurance claims. We were ready for a new kind of vet experience, and we think you’ll enjoy our approach — bring your pet for routine or urgent care. Bond Vet - Astoria is located at 35-07 30th Ave in Queens, at 36th Street. Book online, call us or walk in — bondvet.com.

I am disappointed to say that we had such a negative experience with BondVet after hearing great things about it from friends and peers. After a bout of gastroenteritis a few weeks prior, our cat was vomiting and having bloody stool. We brought him in, even though we don’t live in the area, as it was the only appointment we could get on such short notice. The vets generally weren’t really listening to what my partner had to say, and overall seemed disinterested. Then, they took x-rays, and the vet came out into the waiting room and said “It’s a linear foreign body, he needs surgery. I’m going to call around to some ERs and see who can cut the cat tonight”…and then walked away. I’m sorry - cut the cat? Maybe you say that amongst other vet colleagues, but definitely not pet parents who are scared to death. She was very alarmist and sent us to an ER, where they did exploratory surgery to remove the foreign body. After all of this, there was nothing to be found in his stomach! He ended up having a bacterial infection which was easily treated with antibiotics. Because of the alarmist “cut the cat tonight” attitude, we spent thousands of dollars that we ultimately didn’t need to spend. We were very let down and won’t be returning.

Two weeks ago, on 11/4, we brought our cat Bella in because she had been vomiting sporadically for five days, refusing food, and behaving unusually. She looked very sick. The vet who saw her was somewhat passive-aggressive, conducted a minimal examination, and told us we would need blood work, assuring us they would follow up once the results were in. Five days later, the blood work appeared in the app, but we received no explanation or call from the vet, leaving us unsure of what the results meant or how Bella was doing. During the initial visit, we were told Bella might have a blockage and could require an ultrasound or additional treatment, but let's wait on the blood test results they said. By 11/14, over a week later, I visited Bond-Astoria in person to inquire about the lack of follow-up. I was told the vet was unavailable, apologized for no one reaching out, and said a message would be sent to have someone contact us. Three days later, on 11/17, I called again and was told a vet would call back shortly—but we still have not heard anything. Meanwhile, Bella has started vomiting again. After two weeks and $800, we have received no follow-up, no explanation of her blood work, and no compassion. It’s hard not to imagine how serious this could be if her condition worsened. Paying for a service and not receiving the care promised feels, frankly, unacceptable.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I will admit it is very pretty and the staff is friendly, but the actual quality of their work (where it matters) was horrendous. I had spent over $700 to run some test for my dog as he was feeling very ill. The result were available on the app but no one even bothered to call to decipher the medical documentation. I know this can happen but after spending so much money and being extremely worried about my baby, i would of hoped for a call. I called the office and asked for someone to help go over the document with me, after being on hold for over 20min the receptionist said she would get a vet to call me right away. Once again never got a call. Last week my baby wouldn't move, I thought this was it. I called Bond as he had been a patient there. I relieved that they had a urgent matter line, however no one picked up! I finally had to leave a message explaining I though my dog was dying and needed immediate help. No one ever called me back and this was their urgent line.
I have never been so upset at company before. Everyone has had bad service before, but this was my dogs life and they couldn't even bother to return a phone call. Not just once but three times.
I went to URVet. They were equally clean and trendy, but most importantly they were responsive. They actually gave my dog the help he needed instead of just taking my money. Also they were cheaper.....the urgent care was cheaper.

I usually likes the Bond vets clinics , I have been to some of the in the city .
The staff was really nice .
I just feel that the doctor way of speaking is not nice . They way she gives the information was passive aggressive and in a superior way . I didn’t like the tone.
I’ve met a lot of professionals vets I my life of owning pets , and that’s not the best way to talk to people .
I don’t think I will ever come back .

They don’t change the tip of thermometer between visits, the tip was dirty and old, I hope my cat doesn’t get an ear infection. They are very pushy, you can tell it’s all about the money. They tried to force me to pay for a blood test which was around $500 saying it’s legally required and I couldn’t leave without it. I had to be firm and say I would only pay for the consult($120).
