  Went on a Saturday afternoon. Busy in the store and waited on line for about 10 min and only one cashier. Manager walking around like everything was okay. Horrible!

  Ray in the fish department at the Poughkeepsie Petco Was incredibly knowledgeable about The animals, starting a tank and keeping a healthy Tank. It’s obvious he truly cares for all of the fish. I was nervous getting a fish from a large chain retailer, but I’m really happy with my choice because of Ray!

  Always love Petco and staff is always very helpful. The only negative thing about this visit was the cashier was talking on her cellphone through earbuds is my guess. At first when we reached the register I thought she was speaking to me then realized she was on her phone. As a past retail store manager, no sales associates while on the clock should have their phone on them. She was a sweet, friendly girl but she should be engaging with customers not on her phone.

  I needed to return several items and both the customer service person (via phone) and the instore person knew exactly what to do and helped accomplish it.

  I recently took my pet to Petco and the experience was overall just okay. The store was clean enough and had a decent selection of products, but nothing really stood out. It took a little while to find someone to help, and when I did, the staff member was polite but didn’t seem very knowledgeable or interested. Checkout was fine, not particularly fast but not terrible either. Prices seemed a bit higher than I expected for some items, but they had what I needed so I just went with it. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it also wasn’t anything memorable. I’d probably go back if it’s convenient, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
