Although the experience I have had with Dr. Kaminsky over the years was generally positive. When my dog was seriously injured and needed immediate assistance, I was completely unable to get in touch with the clinic. The staff did not return my calls or answer them or passed the messege to Dr. Kaminski. I had reached out to Dr. Kaminski multiple times via email and through the staff no response. This is unacceptable. The older lady who runs the Front Desk is probably the most rude human being you’ll ever encounter in your life and to have such a dispassionate individual be the front face for a clinic whose soul goal is supposed to be helping animals is deplorable. I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a more compassionate institution. That really does care about your animal. Rather than dealing with one that is incommunicative and only prioritizes the most serious of cases. If your dog needs regular care, trust me, they won’t get it here. If your dog’s on the verge of dying or extremely extremely sick, then maybe they’ll take a look as long as they can charge you an arm and a leg. I will not be returning or recommending it to any of my family or friends.

I have 3 pets, and after much research my newest adoptee started her journey with me at Rivergate. I couldn’t be happier to have found this vet. I have a senior pup who is 14 and I needed a vet who was more proactive than the vet I was seeing. For nearly 2 years my other vet wouldn’t test my dog for Cushings despite him having most of the symptoms, they just kept recommending an internist that was impossible to get into. This vet tested him for Cushings on his first visit and we tackled a list of other issues in his blood and urine work ups from my other vet that had been ignored. I have seen multiple vets here now and I can say that are each incredible. My cat will come to see the internist soon for an unresolved reoccurring respiratory issue. I am so grateful to have found Rivergate and look forward to managing all of my pet care there going forward.

I wish I could give more stars. Dr. Eve and the whole team at Rivergate are so amazing. Thorough, caring, kind, knowledgable and comprehensive. They took really great care of our dog who is terrified of vets for a dental cleaning and extraction and gave great aftercare guidance and recommendations for ongoing dental care. Prices are amazing compared to other places in the city with superior service. I have recommended them to everyone I know with a dog.
