The location is between 53rd and 52nd St on 2nd Ave. It’s fairly easy to get to and the size of the store is pretty big, so they have a wide selection of products. I give them 3 stars because their customer service needs improvement. I almost never feel welcome here and employees never ask if I need help with anything when I’m trying to find a product. Also, they never have bags (paper nor reusable). Whenever I ask, I’ve had a few different employees give me an attitude with a hard “no”. Ok, well that’s fine if you don’t have bags for a brief period of time, but I have been going to this Petco for over a year and they never have bags and I always get an attitude back when I ask. Sometimes I come during my lunch break and I don’t bring a bag with me. I’ve had ONE occasion when they did have bags. I was picky up a small bag of cat litter and the disgruntled female employee said “a paper bag won’t fix that. It’s flimsy and cheap.” Well, I still took the paper bag and it held my purchase all the way back to my office and even back home. So was it really cheap? My suggestion would be to train your employees to be more welcoming and helpful instead of silent and rude, and also start restocking your store with bags.
