They have limited amount of supplies on shelves. Anything you can find online they do price match but they make sure that the 24 can boxes are never available.

I shop at this location almost weekly. It surprises me that the cashier's won't package your purchases in a bag that is brought it. I don't have this experience at other locations. The cashiers are always willing to bag my purchases in a bag that I bring with me.

On Super Bowl Sunday, during Black History Month, and amid a widespread affordability crisis in New York City and across the U.S., I had a very disappointing experience at this Petco location. I was required to return to the store in sub-freezing temperatures because I was charged $2.99 for items clearly priced at $2.59 both in-store and online.
What made this especially frustrating is that I had already price-matched other items to Petco’s online pricing during the same transaction, making it clear that accuracy and affordability were important to me. The discrepancy should have been caught at checkout.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. I switched to this location after experiencing repeated overcharging at the 92nd Street store, only to encounter the same issue again. Pricing accuracy is a basic expectation, particularly in the current economic climate, and this experience fell short of that standard.

Today I brought my dog Dante to Petco Grooming for a bath and trim, and the entire experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and frustrating from start to finish.
My appointment was at 10:30am. I arrived on time and was made to wait an extremely long time with no explanation whatsoever. The groomer eventually showed up very late, taking her time, and did not even bother to apologize. That already set the tone.
When she finally checked my dog, she asked how short I wanted the cut. I said very clearly and more than once: “JUST A TRIM.”
It’s cold outside and I absolutely did NOT want him cut short. She inspected my dog and told me “no problem at all.”
❗ ONE HOUR LATER, I get a call saying they cannot do just a trim because my dog is supposedly “matted.”
This is completely false.
– My dog goes to the groomer EVERY SINGLE MONTH
– I checked him myself before dropping him off and he had NO mats whatsoever
At that point it was obvious that since she arrived very late and was probably behind on appointments, the fastest solution for her was to shave him down with clippers. I told her ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Her response?
👉 “Then we only did the bath.”
If I had known this from the beginning, I would have taken my dog to another groomer immediately, instead of wasting my time and making unnecessary trips back and forth.
When I went to pick up my dog, it got even worse:
❌ NO sanitary trim at all (not around the butt, not around the private area)
❌ Nails not cleaned or trimmed properly
❌ Ears not cleaned
So basically, an incomplete and poorly done service — and I WAS STILL CHARGED FOR IT.
Zero communication.
Zero accountability.
Zero respect — for both the customer and the animal.
When you leave your dog with a groomer, you expect care, honesty, and professionalism, not excuses, rushed decisions, and half-done work just to save time.
👉 I will NEVER come back
👉 I do NOT recommend this groomer to anyone
Petco seriously needs to re-evaluate who they allow to work with animals.
