Dr. Cardinali and his staff are absolutely amazing. Our dog needed emergent surgery and he didn't hesitate at all to help her. The outcome of the surgery was an extreme success and he truly made such an impact on our family. The staff is extremely caring and always does their best to help us when needed and to have our dog be seen. We are forever grateful for Mount Sinai Animal Hospital!

The front desk staff are RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! My first experience I had an appointment and was told when I arrived (10 mins before the appointment time) that they were running late and I was going to have to wait an hour with my cat in a bag! I said it would’ve been nice to get a phone call and I was told if I don’t like it, I can go somewhere else.
I waited reluctantly since my pet needed to be seen within 3 days of being adopted.
Fast forward to my animals stool sample.. crappy subject but let’s go there.. my cat had tested positive for parasites and needed treatment, when that treatment was finished, he was to be retested 4 weeks after completion.
When I brought the sample in to be retested, I got a phone call about 15 mins after I dropped it off saying that I needed to pay another $72 or they aren’t sending it out. Meanwhile I have a receipt that says it is prepaid and a zero balance but my cat needed to be retested so I payed the $72 anyway just to expedite the process. After back and forth and getting nowhere, they threatened to just THROW THE SAMPLE IN THE GARBAGE!!
Repeatedly told me, for the second time since seeing them for the first time just 2 months ago, that if I didn’t like the way they do things that I can just go somewhere else. So I will.
I’m done with the extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior by the front staff. The doctors would never treat a patient this way but the front desk is seriously the worst. I’m done with this place and I can only hope that this review will help you avoid the expense and aggravation of stupidity.

I have been going to Mt Sinai Animal Hospital and Dr Cardinelli for about 30 years. The entire staff is warm, compassionate and truly care about the pets who come through there. But tonight, I believe Dr Cardinelli went above and beyond (although his every day performance is outstanding as well). I called in bc my Cavapoo seemed to be limping a bit. The nurse said they are booked two weeks out bc both vets have been on vacation and I should take her to an animal emergency care. I told her that I really wanted to speak to Dr Cardinelli before I did that. She didn’t seem optimistic. Lo and behold, at 6:45, tonight, my phone rings and it’s Dr Cardinelli. He was so reassuring and explained everything to me. But just that he took the time after his busy day to call and just reassure me meant the world. I always knew that this place was special. This was just the icing on the cake. Ty Dr Cardinelli for being the wonderful veterinarian and caring person that you are. I cannot thank you enough!

Awesome, caring veterinarians. Dr. Cardinali called me to explain bloodwork results that were not normal and options for treatment if symptoms arose. Highly recommend.
