- JJJasperFeb 5, 20261.0Please, do not buy your fish from here. I know it’s cheaper but that is for a reason. The way they keep their fish in particular, ESPECIALLY betta fish is genuine animal abuse. I don’t agree with bettas in cups as they are fish that need a lot of space and will not thrive in small enclosures. The cups have no filtration or heat or anything, so that alone is a problem, but not the sole reason for poor review What’s worse is the state of those poor fish inside the cups—today they were atrocious. Half of them looked like they were about to die, some looked generally unhealthy but still kicking… and one was just rotting. Actually dead and rotting. Last time I was there, there was a much healthier looking betta on the floor, dead, likely because it was stepped on as it had visual injuries. Every other tank of fish, especially feeder goldfish, had piles of deceased fish that can and will spread disease and cause a spike of nitrates or ammonia in the tanks. Do not buy fish from here. Please buy from a professional breeder or someone that actually knows how to treat them—fish, despite not being often seen as such, are complicated animals to care for, and they have such personalities. I won’t go into the birds or reptiles here, but it’s not good either. Fish are not objects.
