Bond Vet - UWS at 112th Street offers primary and urgent care to the dogs and cats of Morningside Heights and Columbia University in Manhattan. Bond Vet is a new kind of veterinary experience that’s designed to be better for pets and their people — it’s a modern and friendly vet clinic with comprehensive care. In addition to primary (or wellness) care, we offer urgent care, a field we pioneered that is timely, same-day or next-day care for for symptoms that can worsen with time, such as coughing, diarrhea, eye and ear issues, a paw issue, a wound or any other non-life-threatening symptoms and “uh-oh moments.” Our collaborative and highly trained veterinary doctors, nurses and assistants handle a wide range of cases, from primary care (wellness visits, vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental cleaning, mass removal) to more timely urgent care cases and unique cases, like specialty orthopedic surgeries and cryptorchid neuters. In sum, we are happy to be your one-stop-shop vet. Our mission is to foster the bond between pets and their people, and we know pets and people haven’t always enjoyed vet visits — we’re here to change that. That’s why we offer comprehensive and thorough care, upfront pricing and a delightful in-clinic experience with clear communication and convenient booking options. Weird way of dealing with clients. Email bounced back twice so I wasn’t sure I still had my appointment. I show up to avoid the cancelation fee (they send you a reminder less than 24 hours and let you know by the way, there is $130 head to tail exam fee. I show up, the receptionist deals with me like I’m trash. I ask if I can have my cat microchipped now that I finally managed to get in the carrrier, she says that would count as a walk in and it’s $150. Avoid this place like the plague. No maners.

This one is for you Michael k. He's getting this review because of his kindness! every single time I walk in the office to grab my 2 fur babies some treats, some staff members can make you feel funny to ask , but not Michael k! He always says " that's what they're here for" my dogs loveeee these treats. Thank you Michael!

I cannot thank the team at this Bond Vet location enough. After my brand new puppy fell severely sick this team went above and beyond to help me with the best solutions to get him back healthy. They were thorough about the cost and around suggesting treatments. After determining my pup had low glucose levels they were able to get his sugar levels up some and he came in limp but was on his feet when we left. So shoutout to the team— Tiahnna, Keisha, Michael and Dr. Jesse Tong. I am so happy to say Jigga is thriving and doing much better now. We will definitely be back!

I want to begin by recognizing that the nurses and doctor were genuinely kind, attentive, and made my kitten feel safe. This review is not a reflection on their work, but rather on the customer service and overall experience with BondVet.
As a Columbia student, this is the closest clinic to me, so I was hopeful it would work out. Unfortunately, from the very beginning, the scheduling process was disorganized and frustrating. It took several days just to arrange a 15-minute phone consultation, and when the call never happened, I had to chase them by email and phone. This became a recurring pattern—appointments not honored, calls promised but not returned, and constant delays.
During our visit, I paid nearly $300 for a wellness exam, blood test, and medication. The quote for neutering my cat was another $600, and I was fully prepared to invest over $1,000 for quality care. After paying, however, I was told simply that “the surgical team would call me.” They never did. Every time I followed up, I was told to just wait, even after explaining how urgent the procedure was. When I finally pressed for a timeline, I was told the wait would be about a month. Had that been made clear upfront, I never would have chosen BondVet.
To make matters worse, when I finally did hear back, I was given confusing and inconsistent updates. At one point I was told my kitten’s bloodwork had “mild abnormalities” and would need to be repeated—but again, no clear timeline was offered. A week later, I was still waiting.
At that point, I chose another veterinary provider who immediately gave me a detailed timeline and treated my concerns with urgency and professionalism.
In short: if you value timely, reliable service for your pet, BondVet is not the place. Their clinic is beautiful and I’m sure not every employee has this ethic, but Kim and the desk agent from the 77th BondVet were condescending, rude and unprofessional.
