I had a really disappointing experience at Bond Vet on the Upper East Side. The service was poor — it feels like you’re just talking to robots — and the doctor seemed careless. I wouldn’t recommend this place; save your time and money.E

Decent place to visit for routine check ins or vaccinations. It's clean and easy to book. However I would never recommend them for any serious pet concerns. I've had only poor experiences with them. Communication is deplorable. The amount of times I've had to call for updates or answers is unacceptable. As of now, I'm 11 days out from my cat getting bloodwork they claimed he needed done before I could schedule a procedure for my cat. I get that things take time but 11 days for labs is a little ridiculous, especially when there's a concern about cancer and especially after the doctor said a few days. It also doesn't help that follow up calls allegedly can come from any phone number/area code. With all the spam calls these days, some of their numbers get blocked. And who would be in NYC and want to answer a random call from like texas? Staff is polite but they do not put your pet first when it comes to how they run things. I scheduled an ultrasound for my cat and they said to bring him in at 10am. I showed up early then asked when I should pick him up. They said they would call me but that he was slated to be seen at 2pm. My cat is high stress and sick, yet they wanted him to sit in a cage or a bag in a strange, loud place for hours. That's just cruel. I get being concerned about people showing up late or needing sufficient time to prep but that doesn't take hours. They claimed they'd see him sooner and they would call me. Of course they DID NOT call me. I had to call them after no hearing anything that afternoon. They were like, oh yeah he's ready to be picked up. So they just had him sitting there after zero communication and zero consideration for my concerns. I've had three appointments here now and not a single one has been a solid experience. I cannot wait to get these final labs done so I can find a vet that will actually care about my cat's wellbeing. I've spoken with a few doctors here now as well (because you don't just work with one, you get whoever is working that hour) and they never were able to outline a plan or concisely provide next steps for me. The doctors just talk at you and throw a bunch of information and options but not an actual plan. It was almost like the refused to make recommendations. Like I had to use my nonexistent expertise to decide on my cat's treatment plan. The lack of consideration for pets and pet parents is astounding. I've been to vets that are high volume with lots of patients and they still managed to show care every step of the way. There's really no reason for why this vet seems so disjoined and unfocused.

I love this vet. They are very transparent about costs and have you approve the invoice prior to doing anything. The vets are knowledgeable and care deeply for the pets. Would definitely recommend.

Bond Vet 86th Street’s dental team was amazing…they saved my cat Tintin’s teeth, kept us calm through updates, and sent him home a hero. Highly recommend! We brought our cat Tintin in for a dental cleaning after a referral from Dr. Bryan Anderson at Bond Vet 112th. We were so nervous about him being under sedation, but the staff made the whole process much easier. Midday, we got a funny, reassuring text from the vet tech with an update that instantly put us at ease. After surgery, Dr.Luke Bartels called to explain everything clearly and gave us the best news…no teeth had to be pulled because we acted early! When we picked Tintin up, the staff was warm and thoughtful, sending us home with a bravery certificate, toothpaste samples, and helpful advice. We are so grateful to the dental team at 86th Street, they truly went above and beyond for Tintin.
