Bond Vet - UWS at 112th Street offers primary and urgent care to the dogs and cats of Morningside Heights and Columbia University in Manhattan. Bond Vet is a new kind of veterinary experience that’s designed to be better for pets and their people — it’s a modern and friendly vet clinic with comprehensive care. In addition to primary (or wellness) care, we offer urgent care, a field we pioneered that is timely, same-day or next-day care for for symptoms that can worsen with time, such as coughing, diarrhea, eye and ear issues, a paw issue, a wound or any other non-life-threatening symptoms and “uh-oh moments.” Our collaborative and highly trained veterinary doctors, nurses and assistants handle a wide range of cases, from primary care (wellness visits, vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental cleaning, mass removal) to more timely urgent care cases and unique cases, like specialty orthopedic surgeries and cryptorchid neuters. In sum, we are happy to be your one-stop-shop vet. Our mission is to foster the bond between pets and their people, and we know pets and people haven’t always enjoyed vet visits — we’re here to change that. That’s why we offer comprehensive and thorough care, upfront pricing and a delightful in-clinic experience with clear communication and convenient booking options. I had a great experience here today as a first time visitor. The appointment was prompt and there was no upselling which I appreciated. The first exam was free with the code NEWTOBV (they don't actively promote this in office though) so I encourage new pet owners to bring their dogs here. My pup needed her anal glands expressed and I appreciated the transparency - the price was upfront before hand. Dr. Bryan Anderson was great and very clear about next steps. I'd come back again as a regular!
Their waiting room is also very comfortable and has lots of dog treats (the good kind ;-) )

My frenchie, Millie, and I love the Bond Vet Morningside Heights team. She even gets excited when I tell her we're going "bye bye to the vet". They have rescued us time and time again and are always so helpful and accommodating. As an example, they recommended I try starting my dog on Claritin after years and years of going to other vets in Manhattan for costly skin allergy flare-ups. Prior to this team, not one vet ever recommended that to me before and it worked! She hasn't had a flare up since and that's just one example of why I trust them over anyone. Thank you to Gabby, Teandra, Samantha, Taylor, Dr. Adams and Dr. Anderson. Even the visiting doctors are great when Dr. Adams or Dr. Anderson aren't in (which is rare). Very thankful for the entire team!

Strongly advise going elsewhere, unless you want more hassle and incompetence in your life. We first brought our 4 year old cat here in November for an initial annual checkup, since she was new to NYC. They were running behind so we had to wait over half an hour - fine, no big deal. When they finally called us in, they refused to treat our cat because they said she was “too nervous.” First time that’s ever happened in all our vet going experience! They said we needed to purchase Gabapentin and administer that next time before we brought her in. They said they would “graciously” waive our appointment fee for refusing to treat our cat and requiring us to rebook. We unfortunately bought overpriced Gabapentin from them (don’t ever purchase meds from this place - they’re at least 3x’s more than on Chewy) and returned home, out 2 uber rides, money on overpriced and what turned out to be an unsealed and leaky bottle of Gabapentin and no actual med care for our cat. Fast forward to this month: we rebooked another appointment and when I went to get the Gabapentin out of the cupboard, turns out they had sold me an unsealed bottle that had leaked everywhere while in storage. When I immediately reported this to them, they said I should have reported it earlier and refused to replace it or issue a refund. Why on earth would I have looked at it until I needed to use it? I never imagined they were selling leaky bottles to people! If they knew this, they should have told us! So needless to say, I am done with this unprofessional, overpriced place and sharing my experience so that others can avoid the hassle and expense that we and my poor, still untreated cat went through.
