Bond Vet — East Village is a modern and friendly vet located in StuyTown, at 18th and 1st Ave. We specialize in urgent care and primary care, meaning timely medical needs for a rash, diarrhea, limping, coughing or other symptoms that indicate a non-life-threatening health issue as well as preventative care (annual exam, vaccines) For prompt treatment, we offer walk-in appointments, or you can book online. Bond Vet’s mission is to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care — we know pets and pet parents typically don’t look forward to vet visits, and we don’t think it has to be that way. We reimagined the experience, with warm and welcoming clinics, neutral lighting, hydration stations, dog treat bars and comfortable furniture.

I’ve brought my cat to the Bond Vet in the East Village twice recently for an initial appointment and a follow-up ultrasound, and both experiences were excellent. From start to finish, the entire team was kind, patient, and incredibly attentive.
Scheduling the appointment was straightforward, and when I arrived the woman at the front desk staff was warm and welcoming. My wait for the appointment was minimal and the nurse who helped with weighing and vitals was so gentle and sweet with my cat in spite of all of his squirming. The doctor took the time to really listen to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions about the symptoms, and made sure I understood all the possible diagnoses and treatment options. I ask a lot of questions, and they were patient and thorough every step of the way.
I also really appreciated that the clinic manager stopped by to check in and see how my visit had gone. Everyone I interacted with was professional, compassionate, and clearly cared about both pets and their people.
The clinic itself is very clean and organized, and the team seemed to work together smoothly. It genuinely feels like a place where people enjoy what they do. I’m really glad I found this clinic and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Dr Leanna Shuttleworth and her team at Bond Vet are incredible. We adopted a 6 month old puppy about a year ago and have been seeing Dr. Shuttleworth ever since. She truly cares about our dog (Ella) and provides her with top notch medical care. Ella has some anxiety issues and can be a handful, Dr. Shuttleworth goes above and beyond to help Ella to feel calm and safe during our visits. We trust her and Bond Vet completely and cannot recommend her enough. Gio has also been amazing and incredibly helpful, caring and patient. They’ve helped us with everything from guiding us as new dog owners, to vaccines, medications, bite wounds, gland expressions and even treating Ella when she ate a whole bag of cacao nibs. We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Shuttleworth and Bond Vet. The nurses and the whole Bond Vet team are super professional and the pricing is fair and transparent. We feel very fortunate to have Ella being cared for by them. Thank you Bond Vet!

Very nice facility, but I do feel like the services are overpriced and it feels like everything is nickeled and dimed. I was in because I thought my dog had an ear infection - the vet said it didn’t look infected so I chose not to do the paid test to see if there was an infection (trusted her opinion so I could save about $100+), so after a hefty bill with no resolution, his ear got worse - I took him to a different vet who took one look at his ear, swabbed it, and diagnosed him with an ear infection - no expensive test needed. I was given antibiotics and ear solution for half the price I was charged at Bond Vet. The exam fees are also very expensive compared to other vet clinics in the area.

Me and my fur baby had such a wonderful experience at Bond Vet for our first visit today. Everyone is extremely warm & welcoming from being greeted at the front desk, to the vet assistant & the veterinarian herself. Dr. Shuttleworth is so caring & loving. She addressed all concerns I had and treated my fur baby with such love. So happy I found a place I can entrust with my fur baby. Thank you everyone!
