Not only is it a super affordable option for pet health, but every single employee from the front desk girls, vet techs to the doctors are incredible and really make you feel like you and your pet are valued. I am an anxious kitty mom, and everytime I call with any question no matter how small they validate me and address my concerns. I couldn't recommend this place more!

I called this office with concerns over my 6YO cat’s health (described specific symptoms that I now understand as very concerning for a cat) on a Monday and they told me to bring her in Friday. I ended up bringing her in Thursday when her symptoms appeared worse. Unfortunately, after a lot of critical 24 hour care at a nearby facility, my cat passed away as her health was too degraded to recover. I made a mistake with trusting this clinic to provide care guidance. If Banfield had properly trained their staff to identify critical symptoms when pet owners call for help, she may still be here. I attempted to contact Banfield with this issue and they supposedly called my phone but did not bother to even leave a voicemail to attempt to rectify the situation. I highly do not recommend this facility to care for your animals.

They say 14 years is a pretty good life for a dog, but for us it was not nearly enough time!! Dr Carpenter and the staff at Banfield in Latham, NY were beyond exceptional!! The compassion, kindness and genuine caring that they had for all of us is something that I will never forget!!! Thank you all for making an extremely difficult time, a little bit easier. You are special people!!❤️❤️💔💔

I bring my 4yr old Yorkie Luna there for all her vet services...shots nail trimming check ups labs blood work and medicine if needed. I get Luna's flea, tick and worm medicine once a month pill 6 month supply included in her Wellness Plan. I have the plan that includes teeth cleaning, and all for a reasonable price. I have to convince of shopping for all her pet needs right there in Pet Smart. The service is great the staff are great, it a win win all aroind.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
