    I’ve been here twice once for grooming and once to pick up an online order. Both times the cashier (separate people) was extremely rude and unhelpful (groomer personnel were fine) For the grooming I asked if she could break a larger bill and she said acted like I was about to assault her from her reaction. Gave me an extremely snarky no and how I should go to the bank to do that, when I was just asking and I was fine if she said no. The online order issue was from the store inventory machine saying something wasn’t in stock when it was but the cashier could’ve been nicer/more helpful. I think I give people a large leash since I know how annoying retail jobs are but why stress yourself out coming here and being treated rudely by the cashier staff when you could go to the petsmart nearby where I haven’t had any issues.

    I got my Alfie groomed with Edgar and it was wonderful. I was so nervous because my 9month old poodle is very nervous and anxious about everything. Not only did Edgar do a great job with Alfie’s cut but he assured me all will be fine and Alfie was in good hands. Thank you Edgar!! I don’t understand the bad rating for the grooming crew because I’ve gone before for nail trimming and they were all kind, respectful and informative.

    This past weekend was a MOST disgraceful representation from Petco and I’m recording it here as well as a formal complaint. Edgar (I believe is his name – Latin gentleman, black hair with a more horizontally broad shaped head), aka the grooming “manager” was not only insulting, but rude, undermining and potentially running a scam for service up-charge. I came in for my appointment and the actual groomer – a taller latin guy, noted some areas of hair matting that would require an additional fee, upwards of 30$. Edgar calls me shortly after leaving to inform me that the upcharge & care would instead total over +200$. In seeking to understand his ambiguous pricing, Edgar went as far as to create series of lies about prior grooming appointments, stated that I have a history of not wanting to pay for my animals’ care, that my animal was aggressive and within that deceptive practice suggested my animal would suffer harm if they attempted to work on him. The worst of the interaction is his 1) Gross statement asserting that if I can’t pay the fee, I should come get my dog. 2) attempt to shift the blame to the tall groomer guy once I recognized he was the one behind the fiasco. 3) proceeds to put a false notice in my animals account “refer him out” which should block him from future Petco services. The whole thing was terribly upsetting, unacceptable customer service and extremely concerning if this is a shakedown operation Petco is using. He should be removed immediately, because he’s really slick/clever in using reverse psychology and incorporating Petco’s “policy” to enforce his behavior. My ~13lb dog has been getting care for the duration of his existence and none of the above is relatable. The 2 of them are shameful, removed vs rotated to another location. Unbelievably DISGUSTING!!

    I visited Petco today to purchase crickets and unfortunately had a disappointing experience out of the many times I go there. The employee who assisted me spoke with a noticeably rude attitude, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I asked for 15 crickets, but each time I counted, it looked like there were only about 10. I shouldn't have to feel rushed or talked to with attitude when I'm simply trying to make a purchase. I hope future customers receive better service.
