Feel like the doctors there were very money motivated and lacked empathy. Over years that we went to this practice, they never tried to accommodate our dog when she was sick and she always had to be treated elsewhere. They even charge you if you ask them send your prescriptions to an outside pharmacy. As a healthcare worker, I find their way of practicing deeply upsetting.

Dobbs Ferry Animal Hospital is terrific. We've been taking our pets there for 20 years. Don't be deterred by the office's modest appearance. It's a serious, extremely competent place. Everyone is devoted to their work and very knowledgeable. Ignore people who say they found staff rude. They're not. Dr. Mendelsohn is a straightforward, no-nonsense doc. Same with the vet tech. Parking lot is limited but you can park on a side street.

I have been using Dobbs Ferry Animal Hospital for over 15 years! I would never go anywhere else. Dr. Mendelson, Susan and the entire staff are kind, understanding, empathetic and very knowledgeable. I work with many rescue organizations as well and always recommend them to our new fosters and adopters in the area. I cannot recommend them enough, and I do often!

My pets have been patients of Dr Gary and Christina Mendelsohn for years and I would not trust their care to anyone else. They are knowledgable, compassionate doctors that give excellent care to their patients. They listen to your concerns and discuss treatment options. They go above and beyond to make sure your pet is receiving exceptional, individualized care. I would highly recommend them for your veterinarian needs.
