  I have taken my dog here for 2 years for vaccines and I will never go again. Im not one to complain because i understand people have off days but this was beyond unprofessional. I took my 1.5 year old lab to petco for vaccines. There was a large dog that was going after all the other dogs, to the point he broke his leash, so most of dogs were on edge. We get into a 7x10 glass room with the vet and 3 vet techs so naturally my dog is a bit nervous. One tech sits with him while the vet gives 3 shots and draws blood. He did great like usual. Then this vet proceeds to see my dogs vibrating collar and berate me that I shouldn't be using it... its bad, hes clearly scared (I wonder why). I told her I know my dog and hes very well trained and happy. I got told im not a trainer and I dont know what im talking about and I need to do better. I was left speechless. Later I had not one, not two, but 3 staff members come up to me and apologize on her behalf saying how unprofessional she was and it was completely uncalled for. I understand people have different ways to train animals but this was not her place and the way it was went about was absolutely unprofessional and unnecessary. Dr. Carolyn Summer should not be working with people and animals if she is unable to act in a professional and respectful manner. Making a person feel that they are a bad pet owner because they dont agree with something is wrong. Thankfully i know im not and my pup has a great life. But i absolutely will not allow that womannear myself or my dog. (This is a dog who has his own room, goes to the dog spa every 8 weeks, goes on vacations, camping, hiking and boating, while also knowing how to pick up and put away his toys.Hes living a great life)

  Petco always has online orders ready for pickup within the time specified. None of my orders has ever been wrong or incomplete. I enjoy shopping in the store, and the staff are always nice!

  I went to this location a couple of days ago and bought a fish and a star fish. After going through acclamation for them I put the star fish in and I was waiting for it to move. I thought it was strange that it didn’t move for 2 days and come to find out it was dead. They sold me a dead animal. I can’t go back to them because they have a no return policy and they wouldn’t do anything anyways. Now my tank has been up and running for years and most of the fish I have had for years. So I know it’s not because of my tank and even if it was it would have at least moved. I should have known better because of how their tanks looked and how the manager and the worker was. I did get a review sent to me and I let them know how the workers were and tanks but have not heard anything back. I will not being going back again. Clarence

  Christen, our puppy trainer at Petco, is absolutely fantastic! She is amazing with all of the puppies in class and truly goes the extra mile to connect with each dog individually. You can clearly see how much she loves what she does, and the dogs respond so well to her positive energy and patience. Her knowledge of puppy training and care is incredible — she shares practical tips that are easy to follow and extremely helpful for new puppy owners. Every class is engaging, supportive, and fun, and we always leave feeling more confident and informed. We are so grateful to have Christen guiding us through our puppy’s training journey. Highly recommend her classes to anyone with a new puppy!

  Went looking for a litter genie. I found one! Ended up buying that, refill bags, and because I noticed a great clearance sale on cat trees...I bought one of those as well. The associate (only one of two in the store that evening) was fabulous. She answered all my questions & helped me get the discount that I was offered on line. Not only that...she helped me load my car with the large and heavy piece of cat furniture. I think her name was Josephine. Give that girl a raise!!!
