My animals have been patients since close to day 1. Heart of Brooklyn puts compassionate, evidence-based care first, ensuring long-term patient health. My previous two animals lived to 17 & 19, and the team at HOBK did everything possible to keep my cat as healthy as possible after she was diagnosed with kidney disease at 16 (she died at 19). They successfully performed surgery on my very senior dog, saving his life. While my tortie may have tortured the team, they sent the sweetest note when she passed. My current duo are happy and healthy, with zero white coat anxiety (my cat purrs throughout her appointment & is happy to see everyone; my dog wiggles with delight & happiness). The helped me figure out that my current cat rescue is the rare Japanese bobtail, a discovery that still delights me to this day. During a time when private equity is swallowing vet clinics, Dr Farmer has put his everything in to make these clinics safe & welcoming spaces for pets & humans alike. So happy they’re in the neighborhood 💓

They misled me about a diagnosis which then led to more intensive and expensive surgery.

Great clinic! When my baby had to have surgery they called every vet surgeon in the area until they found someone who could do it.

Absolute lifesaver. My frenchie was showing early signs of IVDD, which if left untreated can move quickly to loss of back leg function, and they squeezed me in same day on a Saturday - most likely skipping a short break to do so. Dr. Miller obviously cares deeply for animals and didn’t try to upsell me in my emotionally vulnerable state. If anything, he down sold me on a medication or two, saying Potato’s case was too mild to warrant everything. Potato had a very sudden and severe flare two days later after seeming to be well, and again, they were able to squeeze me in within twenty minutes despite their solidly booked schedule. Great doctors and admin here!
