. I have never experienced something so distressing and unacceptable. We called ahead regarding our dog’s emergency and were directed to this location. We confirmed our estimated arrival time and were explicitly told that someone would be there to assist us.
Their posted Saturday hours are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We were given a 7:30 PM time and informed them that we were driving from Manhattan and would arrive by 7:45 PM. We were assured that this would be fine and that staff would be available.
Despite these assurances, when we arrived, we were not allowed inside and were turned away. I was left standing outside in the cold during a pet emergency. The way we were treated felt discriminatory, dismissive, and completely lacking in compassion.
It is deeply troubling that while the phone communication was reassuring, there was absolutely no follow through when we arrived. Sweet words mean nothing without action. In medical situations, especially emergencies, professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency are non negotiable.
This experience raises serious concerns about the standards of care and responsibility expected of a licensed veterinary facility. Both pets and their owners deserve respect, transparency, and humane treatment. What we experienced was the opposite.
If negative zero stars were an option, that is what I would give. I am only giving one star because the system requires it in order to post this review and share what happened.

Bloomfield has no business working in healthcare. Arrogant, dismissive, and impatient, he showed 0 care and offered no clear explanations - - - only attitude. Basic professionalism and ethics were completely absent.
We weren’t asking for favors; we were seeking competent medical guidance. This encounter was unfortunate, but I’m speaking up so others don’t have to deal with the same behavior. Leadership should take the harm caused by this seriously.

My review is general for the whole of Bond Vet, tagged to this location as this was our primary location for services.
Overall, the care is mediocre and doesn't stack up to the cost. Across the 3 years my dog has been a patient, everything comes with a high price. We mostly stayed for the duration as the location was convenient and then my dog unexpectedly needed surgery and we didn't have time to hunt for another provider.
The final straw was how the finances were handled for her surgery. I was excited to hear about Care Credit as an option for a standard surgery that the vet quoted me $7,000 for. To further assist with cost, the staff assured me that I'd have a 2-year interest free period with this option. After 6 months, I was charged interest on this credit and I immediately reached out both to the third party bank and Bond. After an initial call and follow-up with Bond, I waited ~3 months with no word and gave in, reaching out again to address the matter.
This ultimately resulted in Bond not covering for their error and leaving me to absorb the $1,000 interest that has accumulated on the account, which is under my name so leaving me no choice but to pay. The bank noted that had the issue been addressed sooner, there would have been other options to recoup the accrued interest - to which the vet's response was, next time there's an issue, I should do a better job hounding and staying on top of the staff so resolution can be found quickly.
Appalled and extremely upset about how this was handled is understatement, even the mere thought still has the power to ruin my day.
On a personal level, there are sacrifices and hardships that come with taking on a $1,000 expense that wasn't expected and budgeted for. I am now holding the burden of figuring out what adjustments I need to make to ensure this doesn't snowball to an even larger burden for myself.
My glass half full is my dog and I will be separating from the Bond Vet, which is long overdue.
Hoping that there are options out there that are providing services at a level that cares for the community and mirrors what they are asking to be compensated.

I am beyond grateful for Bond Vet Cobble Hill and especially Dr. Erin Mackey. I originally brought my cat Sophie in because she had blood in her stool and what we thought was a simple issue turned into something much more serious. Sophie was pregnant and after Dr. Mackey recommended an ultrasound and X ray she discovered a fractured pelvis that a previous vet completely missed.
Dr. Mackey truly saved my cat’s life. Her attention to detail her urgency and her compassion made all the difference. The entire Cobble Hill staff was just as incredible. Everyone was kind patient and genuinely caring from start to finish. You can feel how much they truly love animals 🐾💙
Yes Bond Vet is a little bit on the pricier side compared to others, but it is absolutely worth every dollar. I have gone back to Bond Vet Cobble Hill and I will continue to go back no matter what. Also I highly recommend pet insurance. I have Spot Pet Insurance and it helped me so much.
If you are looking for a vet who truly listens and goes above and beyond this is the place. Dr. Mackey is the best and I will forever be thankful to Bond Vet for saving my girl 🥹✨
