Bond Vet - Bed Stuy is located at 1134 Fulton Street, in the heart of Brooklyn’s Bed Stuy neighborhood and convenient to Crown Heights and Bushwick. Bond Vet pioneered the concept of urgent care for pets, offering a caring, convenient clinic with late and convenient hours to provide timely medical care for urgent symptoms that can worsen with time: diarrhea, wound, eye and ear issues, rashes, coughing, limping, behavioral changes and other non-life-threatening symptoms. Because our collaborative and highly trained veterinary doctors and nurses comes from a broad background of general practice and emergency care, they are well equipped to handle a comprehensive range of cases, from primary care (routine wellness visits, vaccines, spay/neuter dental cleaning, mass removal) to more unique cases, like specialty orthopedic surgeries and cryptorchid neuters. In short, Bond Vet is here to be your one-stop shop for veterinary services. We created Bond Vet to bring veterinary medicine into the modern world, and we are here to make it more convenient and enjoyable than ever to get the vet care you need, when you need it. And because we know price matters, we’re upfront when it comes to diagnostic and care costs, offering several paths forward, along with pricing, and we won’t pressure you into doing more than you’re comfortable with (we won’t judge your choice, and we’ll save you time by helping you file pet insurance claims). One visit, and you’ll see Bond Vet is a new kind of veterinary clinic that’s better for pets and people alike; we’re excited to meet and treat you. Book a visit — online, or call us, or just walk in — for primary or urgent care at Bond Vet - Bed-Stuy. bondvet.com
They denied a prescription for my 20 year old cat, who will now go without that medication for multiple days because I can’t get through their AI “assistant” to speak to a human. Frustrated that I need to go find a new vet now.

The Bond Vet located on Fulton Street has recently provided an unpleasant experience. While previous visits were satisfactory, the last two occasions were extremely disappointing. The staff exhibited rudeness, and when seeking assistance via phone, they were unable to offer referrals or guidance, even when admitting they did not provide certain services. It is unacceptable for staff to display an attitude towards patients, particularly when they are experiencing a first-time crisis with their pet. The observed lack of empathy and care was unwarranted. I cannot recommend this location for pet care.

Bond Vet, or more specifically the veterinarians at the Bed-Stuy location, are truly partners in your pet's health. I want to thank Dr. Jasmine Jones, Dr. Marlen Leon, and Dr. Miriam Saleh. Keylie was seen by each of them at different stages of her terminal illness, and each was exceptionally compassionate, responsive, and focused on Keylie's health.
Dr. Jasmine Jones: was the first to suspect Keylie had heart disease, and ordered a Cardiopet proBNP test after listening to Keylie's heart sounds. The result was very indicative of severe heart disease, at 1,188 pmol/L (>270 is indicative), and Dr. Jones urged me to take Keylie to a cardiologist. I did just that, and The Animal Cardiology Center said there were "no" signs of heart disease and said no cardio follow-ups were needed in the next 1-2 years. My only "negative" feedback for Bond Vet is that I wish Dr. Jones had pushed back on this response from TACC, because it was incompatible with such an extremely high level of BNP. Bond had already ruled out most of the non-cardiac causes of elevated BNP, such as liver disease or hyperthyroidism. I didn't realize this disconnect until a year later. I don't fault Bond for missing this, since even in human medicine it's uncommon for a PCP to question a specialist when they unambiguously say a patient does not have an illness specific to their specialty.
Dr. Marlen Leon: when I brought Keylie back to Bond a year later in response to worsening asthma, she re-checked proBNP and performed chest x-rays. It was no longer questionable: Keylie very likely had heart failure, and Dr. Leon called/texted me to ensure I knew how urgent this now was, and suggested I immediately bring Keylie back for more specific tests. I appreciate that she reached out urgently like this; I took Keylie to VERG that same afternoon, after Bond's testing confirmed Keylie had fluid accumulation in her lungs. VERG confirmed the heart failure diagnosis.
✨Dr. Miriam Saleh:✨ never in my life have I seen more of a "cat person" and I will continue bringing all of my feline companions to her. It is particularly obvious she truly cares about cats. Here are some examples:
- during visits, while talking to you, she'll start cleaning the inside of your cat's ears while still gathering info from you on what prompted the visit (I've seen many vets, and none have done this before)
- Keylie's appetite was incredibly finnicky in her final few months, and Dr. Saleh was always quick to fill prescriptions for things like Mirataz (appetite stimulant), Cerenia (anti-nausea), and a borderline ridiculous number of different prescription foods (Keylie would love something once or twice, then never touch it again). All in a convenient online portal, all shipped to home.
- on multiple occasions she set aside time for last-minute appointments for things like bloodwork or additional x-rays/tests
- she will politely but firmly/clearly tell you when you're doing something that isn't in your cat's best interests
- several follow ups that normally would have taken place at VERG were instead done at Bond, which Keylie definitely appreciated - it's a much quieter and less stressful place to be.
- she wears a sweater that has 9 cats on it, each labeled with a name. Turns out they are her cats. (forgive me if it was more/less than 9, I think it was 9 lol)
When I canceled an upcoming appointment after Keylie passed away, Dr. Saleh called the following morning to share her condolences. To say that I was a blubbering mess during that 90 second phone call is an understatement. I appreciate that she took the time to call, especially knowing it'd be a very sad call.

Is Bond Vet cheap? No. Is it worth it? YES. You get what you pay for. In this case, a responsive team of compassionate vets who also have an easy-to-use online portal for stuff like prescription meds/foods, medical records, appointments, etc.
Thank you for working to make my best friend's final months as comfortable as possible. 🥲

They don’t deserve 1 star! What they put my friend through, gave outright diabolical and mistreatment. Her appointment was free, then lied and forced her to do X-rays of her cat. The X-rays cost $600. So she had to go home and get her wallet instead of them charging her when she gets home. Mind you they have her card on file. Now because she didn’t have her wallet on her, they made her walk back home in the freezing cold, they forced her to leave her cat as collateral. Her cat is already going through a lot, with a tumor. This is downright shameful! She’s already going through a lot with her cats health and they made it absolutely worse. She cried walking back home. How dare BondVet treat my friend this way!!
