  I went to go buy a budgie and talk to a dude with long hair in a bun, ask to get me two budgies, immediately started to interrogate me about if I was old enough (I’m 20) and then starts asking do I know what I’m doing do I have food do I have a cage, I’m said yes he then proceeds to say me smiling is making him nervous, I was there for almost a 1hr getting question about why I’m getting these birds once i finally was able to get my birds he was really aggressive with handling the birds, I train birds for years and brought many different kinds of birds never had this type of experience, highly rude and waste my time, I will not be back

  Made a grooming appointment. Received multiple confirmation texts, including one the hour before the appointment. I showed up and there are.no groomers. A salesperson apologized and said that I should have received a cancellation. I didn’t. She admitted that this is not the first time that the groomers just don’t show up for appointments. Part 2: Called the store at the owners request and I was left on hold and then my call was dropped. Can’t make this up.

  I am a police officer I came into this store today looking for a pair of clown fish for my daughter, we’re new getting into the hobby of salt water aquarium I was greeted by a gentle men bald headed with glasses Spanish never told me his name and did not have a name tag. The gentlemen didn’t want to sell me a clown fish. The fish I wanted according to him didn’t have a price but the price was listed as 49.99 for premium clown fish he stated that because that particular clown fish had a extra stripe it was more exotic and was worth more but the website has regular clown fishes listed at 25 and premium clown fishes listed as 49.99. He called his manager but the manager according to him didn’t answer he didn’t try and give me a solution basically told me I couldn’t take the fish my daughter was so disappointed thank god I left her in the car and didn’t bring her in with me he told me to come back and dismissed me it’s either 1 he was holding the clown fish for someone or 2 he just didn’t want to work which is what it seemed like no one working there looks like they went to be there extremely disappointed won’t be back there.

  This location really needs to improve their quality. First I did a bopis order & they gave me the wrong item. Had to go back & exchange, I was also interested in engraving one of their pet collar tags. Called ahead even to make sure I can do that, they told me yes, just to show up there & the engraving machine wasn’t even working. I prefer the union square location but it’s farther in distance from me. Which is why I tried coming here but each time something alwyas goes wrong.

  Do not take the treats sitting out in the open by the cash register. There were flies landing all over them! Your dog or puppy will get sick! Took our 1 year old dog to get groomed, the last couple of times it took 6 hours for a small 12 lb. dog. Booked a week I advance on the website with the dates and times provided (early afternoon), only to get there the day of, on time, for them to say that they can't take my dog because, "zum1 WuZ ZupPozeD 2 call you" (this person looked stupidly high on the job) meanwhile was receiving text messages the entire week to confirm the appointment. The wait time only leads me to believe these groomers are keeping pets locked up for long periods of time in cages until they decide when they feel like working. That is animal cruelty and grooming services should not be available at this location until they can hire a competent grooming team. Go to the mom and pop pet groomer on Mosholu. I will be sending this review to Petco's corporate office. These are living, breathing things with feelings, not toys to stuff in a cage for hours!
