  I recently had an uncomfortable experience at Petco that I feel should be addressed. I made a purchase totaling about $257 and paid with my debit card. The cashier named Leslie told me I was required to show an ID to match my debit card. I explained that I did not have my ID with me and that I believed ID checks were usually for credit cards. She told me there had been fraud in the past. I later spoke with the manager, Lauren, who also said that the store had experienced fraud before. However, this explanation still did not sit right with me. The situation made me feel very uncomfortable, discriminated against, and singled out. I felt like I was being placed into a category that had nothing to do with me. I am a loyal customer who spends a lot of money on Petco products, and many of the name-brand items are expensive, so I take pride in being a paying customer. I also contacted customer service and spoke with May, who confirmed that ID is not required for high cost purchases and should only be requested for returns or exchanges. May provided a case number and escalated the matter to corporate because employees and management at this location are misinformed about their own policies. I spend a significant amount of money at this store, even if I don’t visit frequently, and I want to ensure that my experience as a loyal customer is respected. I understand that stores need to prevent fraud, but customers should be treated fairly and consistently. I hope this location can better clarify their policies so customers do not feel uncomfortable, misinformed, or unfairly treated.

  I took my baby maltese to get her second grooming for the first time today with petco, and they i feel like they did a good job. Angelica was her groomer, she was really patient and friendly with her my nervous pup. Her and the team was able to keep her calm. They did give her some breaks in between which i appreciate since she’s only 8 months. Satisfied.

  I hate coming here. Never have enough cashiers. Leslie you move to slow at the register, get it together love. 12 ppl waiting on line for 15+ mins with 2 items each. I used to work in retail. This could be done in 5 mins get it together... another 5 extra 5 ppl. Leslie still hasn't made any progress.

  I started coming to this PetCo for training classes and soon after for her grooming. The dog trainer Mariana is phenomenal, incredibly knowledgeable, and really easy to talk to. My dog Fable is a well-trained gem because of her. And the groomers always make me feel good about leaving Fable in their care. They always make her look great/listen to what I ask for. Shoutout to Yaya and Ray for taking care of my baby 😁 Fully recommend!
