Comprehensive, affordable, and efficient daycare staff training.
Empower and support your team in creating playgroups that are safe, productive and fun to manage! Through our pet industry consulting firm, we have spent the last several years traveling the U.S. and Canada helping business owners like yourself learn to better manage their dogs, and improve their staff training process.
Sometimes you just need an honest opinion from someone you trust, someone who understands this business, and someone who is actually doing it every day. You're not looking to overhaul your entire business, but you are looking for ways to improve or looking to solve a specific problem. This is why we love Pack Pro.
We've worked with Mallory and Dan over the past several years. I sent my Manager to visit with them so that she could broaden her perspective of leadership beyond just what she has learned from me. They didn't try to influence her to change everything at our facility to match theirs, but they did open her eyes to how some things could change. She came home, charged up, and ready to be a leader.
During the nationwide downturn in dog daycare, I went from being at capacity and having a waiting list to having multiple openings that I could not fill. I engaged Pack Pro to brainstorm about ways we could increase our business without sacrificing our values. They helped me to see that there were ways to do this. And now several months later, we are back at capacity, with a waiting list.
Whether you need to overhaul your business or if you just need some guidance/advice on a piece of your business, Pack Pro gets the job done. The flexibility in their offerings and the quality of their offerings is why I highly recommend Pack Pro.

This program is vital to our visiting canine guest's safety and comfort. The training program is thorough, laid out well, involving hands-on learning. New hires are not falling asleep at the computer, but instead stay engaged and excited to learn. Great material and we are thankful to have Pack Pro as part of our training program for our staff.

I enjoyed this training. Dan and Mallory do a wonderful job explaining different daycare group management techniques along with examples. Their dog body language is fabulous and their examples are perfect. It really makes being a daycare attendant easier and daycare more pleasurable for the dogs.
PackPro is designed to automate your staff training process. Each new hire will complete the same courses on Group Management, Dog Body Language, and Customer Service Basics, ensuring that all staff are trained the same way, every time. PackPro is also great for existing employees or teams who want to improve their skills, or need a refresher on best practices.
How does the program work?
Each course includes 7-10 Chapters. For Chapters 1-7, your new hire will start their shift by watching the video for that chapter. Videos range from 10-30 minutes in length, with all videos adding up to 2 hours total. Once the video from each chapter is complete, they will take a short quiz to verify they have absorbed the information. From there, they will take their printed workbook out to group, to complete a few hands-on exercises that pertain to that particular chapter. We recommend completing one chapter per day (assuming a 5-8 hour shift), and not more than 2 chapters per day.
For Chapters 8-9 there is no video, quiz, or computer work. Your new hire will be able to practice the skills they’ve learned in Chapters 1-7 and manage their own group, under the guidance and supervision of their trainer or senior staff member. Think of them as the primary handler for the group, but with training wheels! The new hire will run the group, with a senior staff member helping and stepping in to offer feedback and assistance when necessary. Your new hire should be able to demonstrate all the skills listed in chapters 8-9 of the workbook.
Chapter 10 is their final exam. They will again be the primary handler in their group, with their supervisor completing the final checklist located in their workbook. They will confirm and check off that the new hire can demonstrate each of the skills they’ve learned throughout the program. At the end of this shift, they will report to the computer to take an online final exam. Upon passing, they will be able to print a PDF PackPro Certificate, complete with their name and date of completion!
