So I recently had the unfortunate experience of having to take one of my beloved puppies to this awful hospital. I had called prior to getting there and letting them know that my dog had just been bitten by another dog. Upon arrival we were told we had to wait, which is not a problem, we filled out the necessary forms. After filling out the forms, we sat and waited a few minutes for a vet. We were told we could go back in the exam room with her when they come back for her, but then someone came out shortly after that conversation and just took her in the back where we couldn't see her or be with her. They flushed out the wound (never shaved it or looked further into it), didn't give her an anti-inflammatory and then allowed my baby girl to come home with her face the size of a grapefruit. When we took her to our primary vet yesterday they were actually appalled that she had looked like this stating that they knew one of the vets there and that they are quite surprised that they let her leave without an anti inflammatory, or shaving it down. My baby girl Cora Jean then had to get an anti-inflammatory shot at our primary vet as well as more antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication due to the negligence of this veterinary establishment. Down below, I have provided pictures of what it has looked like from Saturday November 15th until yesterday November 19th. Yesterday our primary vet shaved her down as much as she would allow and properly cleaned and accessed the full bite, showing how big the full bite really is.

A friend/customer recommended Atlantic coast veterinary specialists to me because my English bulldog needed to see a dermatologist about her ongoing ear infection. I walked in with my dog who was very nervous but also very dramatic lol. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional. We met with Dr. Norma White-Weithers and her assistant Fiona. They’re both very friendly and Dr. Norma is very knowledgeable. I asked several questions regarding my dog's medical condition and about the doctors experience with this particular condition, She didn’t just hand me a pamphlet with meds and send my dog and I home. Dr. Norma was very thorough with the examination. We went over a game plan to try and fix the problem. Before we left my dog was given some treats and butt scratches and of course she wanted more lol. I was very happy with the care my dog was given. Both Dr. Norma and Fiona called to check on my dog a few days later to see how she was doing with the medications given and prescribed. I highly recommend Dr. Norma and Atlantic coast to my friends and family for all their pets needs. Thank you again to everyone for the wonderful care

We were referred to Atlantic Coast Vet by another ER vet after our 15 year old Husky mix started to lose feeling on his back legs. We contacted the office and were given a same day appointment with Dr. Lopez, Kristi and the neurology team. They were amazing! They made me feel better about my baby’s prognosis. Unfortunately, he was rapidly declining and was losing all movement on his back legs, so we decided it was best to let him rest. We went back to the office but this time for the ER since it was after hours. The doctor was thorough, gave us all our options and was supportive of our decision. The ER team was also amazing, they gave us privacy and space for us to mourn. We never felt rushed and I felt comfortable leaving my pup in their hands and knew that they would take care of him after his passing. From the receptionist to the vet tech. I want to thank the entire team at Atlantic Coast Vet for being so welcoming and understanding even if Leon was their patient for a short period of time. We really appreciate all their efforts.

My dog came back to me smelling like cigarettes and perfume due to the techs. Staff were loud and playing pranks on each other in the back. Staff even interrupted me crying to sign forms when i said several times ‘hold on’. Very insensitive. Need better bedside manner

Brought my dog in since she had been vomiting blood for two hours. I waited for about an hour, as other dogs were taken before mine (one for bee sting swelling). I was told there was no estimated wait time to be seen. I really can’t express how uncaring, unorganized, and inefficient this place is.
