- AHAsh HJan 17, 20191.0I bought hamster cage extensions thinking, well it says here just attach it to the cage and it should be fine, yeah no. My hamster escaped it, it opened at the top. They should not be selling products that can be easily escaped, and if there’s any reasonable doubt then, they should not sell it to the public. Do not buy the extensions if you want to keep your hamster. Because now mine is in the walls and gone at this point. I installed it properly, clearly, as it was the opening top that for some reason couldn’t keep a small rodent from opening it. Should not have been on the shelf and advertised as such in the first place.
