- RDRoman DollDec 3, 20251.0I was in the store twice this week picking up things for my pets and both times as I stood in line I watched the groomers. There was a boy groomer with rainbow colored hair and tattoos who was very rough and aggressive both times with the dogs he was grooming. He kept squeezing the dog with the hand he was holding them with as he groomed them and I saw him turn his back to the window and the other groomers while brushing the dog and it yelped then he looked around and turned back around so what he was doing was visible again and kept grooming. The whole thing seemed sneaky and Nefarious. I’ve never seen a dog that wasn’t moving need someone to be so aggressive and rough with how they’re holding its face or paw. The fact that it yelped in pain from him, just brushing it and then started shaking after seemed concerning to me. I understand dogs can be squeamish and also bad, but both dogs were little dogs and very well behaved as he was grooming them with what looked like excessive force and roughness for such little dogs that were not moving. seemed very excessive to me. I would not let Petco groom my dogs just from seeing this man twice grooming, and I hope that he isn’t any more aggressive or rougher than what I witnessed. The other groomers I saw seemed to be doing a good job but watching him was very troubling. As a big company I would expect more from their groomers. If you’re thinking of getting your pet groomed I would make sure you get someone other then him.
