I visited banfield to have my dogs ear issue diagnosed, as someone who loves there pets but is knowledgeable about vets I came to also inquire about the wellness plan which in comparison to other vets and insurance plans offers no value. Before looking at his ear they attempted to collect $150 from me in vaccines and calming medication to better assist. With the medication being the “only way” to diagnose his issue i paid a quarter of the price to then be scheduled next day for a wellness check which is to be complementary after the medication fails they then give me a option which would have been a cheaper option available the day prior. In other words they strung me along in a game of finances in which they profited off a person love for there companion over a solution or even a simple diagnosis which would have proved more effective in earning another customer. Do not contact Benfield unless you desperately seek to be swindled. You would have better chances saving your loved one on google as an untrained unregistered uneducated home vet.

This place used to be fantastic but three times now they have screwed me over. They repeatedly have vets leave early even when they have appointments scheduled. When my cat needs a refill on his medication, every time, that vet is suddenly not in and we have to bring him back for another appointment where the vet still left early. They send emails claiming your cat needs a rabies vaccine which is required by law and then give you attitude when you get there claiming that he didn't need it for another month despite sending the email saying he did. They never confirm anything about the appointment with you beforehand so this could be solved. They lie about what your cat really needs to try and make you spend more of your money, time and gas with them. Half of their vets act like the hate cats and find them disgusting. Customer service is abhorrent. Nothing is ever done to fix the problem. Dont bother making any appointments past noon here, they're going to send the vet home at three so they won't be able to help you. Three times we have been here they've claimed to just not have prescription pads to refill any medications. I am so tired of being screwed over and then given attitude by this hospital. It used to be incredible with incredible vets that I felt cared about my babies' well being but I'm guessing those vets moved to better practices.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Hours and services may vary due to COVID-19.
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
