Brought my 2 year old cat in. The tech asked me questions and then said he needed to talk to vet. He comes back and says they need $1000+ to run tests and take X-rays. I said I am here to see the vet for an exam. Finally the vet comes in and examines and says that my kitty is dehydrated and needs a real 24 hour emergency hospital. So they were hoping I would panic and give them $1000 first just to tell me what they did after the $83 two minute exam/visit. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER BANFIELD!!!!!!!

Would give 0 if I could. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE, Brought my months old puppy in for her vaccination shots, bought the insurance (1st mistake), as well as the list of vaccines her previous vet while she was with her breeder had given to her. The list included the next vaccines she needed. This vet took it upon themselves to not just give her the vaccines the previous vet had been giving, but also decided to give her every vaccine they could under the insurance. My 1.9 pound poodle got 9 vaccines ALL AT THE SAME TIME. They put them in a fist and injected all at once. She immediately went into anaphylactic shock, and as she is throwing up, they told me they can't do anything without my credit card. The vet agreed that all 9 shots should not have been given at once, but the charter owner (who is not a VET) Shannon Fairfield said it was standard. No remorse, no care. She was only concerned about money. My dog developed a bald spot, and went blind at the age of 1. No clue if it is from what they did or not. I also took the list of vaccines to her previous Vet and he said she should have NEVER been given them all at once, nor received some of the vaccines she did. He said it looks like they were just trying to give whatever they could under the insurance. DO NOT GO HERE.

My 19 year old kittie has been in the senior plan (about $1000/yr or $75/mo) for one complete year. I have no doubt that the only reason he is still alive and healthier than ever is because of it!

Terrible experience when we couldn’t be seen at our regular location made an appointment here. The doctor and staff are horrible people and totally unprofessional. They refused treatment to a sick dog!
Frequently Asked Questions About Banfield Pet Hospital
Does Banfield provide emergency care services?
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Can I get veterinary care online?
To help pets and their people stay healthy, Banfield clients who have Optimum Wellness Plans® can get remote general pet care advice and triage support directly from a veterinarian 24/7 through Vet Chat™ on the Banfield app.
What preventive pet health care services does Banfield offer?
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including:
• Vaccinations
• Dental Care
• Parasite Control
• Nutritional Counseling
• Behavioral Counseling
• Comprehensive Examinations
What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
