- LHLeah HellanderAug 20, 20131.0I am extremely frustrated with this location, specifically Dr. Huddleston. I adopted a kitty from the PetSmart location and in association with The Animal Foundation. We were extremely happy with the adoption associates but when our kitty started coughing, drooling, and sneezing we immediately took her to the Banfield Pet Hospital associated with Pet Smart. The tech stated that our kitty had a high temperature but when the doctor came in, he did the poorest examination I have ever seen and stated that there was nothing wrong with our cat. He then put a list of treatments and medications on the screen including a test for giardia and asked us what we wanted. It was almost as if he were asking us to order from a restaurant! I had to try and figure out which medical terms were antibiotics instead of him prescribing what she needed! Then he told us that they didn't have the needed medicine in stock and it would take a couple of days to arrive. He never acknowledged the fact that she had a temperature of 104.6!! He quickly pushed us out after we paid for two medications. Upon looking at the directions for the medicine, it stated it needed to be given with food and we had informed him that our kitty wasn't eating! Our poor baby got sicker and sicker so we took her in to another vet an hour or so later where immediately the doctor acknowledged how sick she truly was. She had no symptoms of giardia and was immediately admitted and desperately in need of IV fluids and IV antibiotics! Had I listened to that shmuck my kitty would have gotten infinitely sicker and possibly died. WORST VET EVER!!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
