Not only is it done at the grooms but there are extra fees when your pet gets vaccinated. This is annoying. I don't feel that a tip is necessary with all the extra fees and they can't be taken off. Some stores charge extra grooming fees when they don't see your pet monthly. Not sure why petco would allow there employees to do this.

- AKAnn KunsSep 20, 20251.0I am very close to canceling my vital care rewards “paid” program and finding somewhere else to get my pet’s food and supplies. When I first paid for the extra rewards, I was able to get the food and supplies my cat needed. It was always in stock. Now I have to go to multiple stores to get enough food because my online orders keep getting canceled. I live over 100 miles from the nearest Petco, so I have to buy a months supply at a time. When a store can’t keep their own brand in stock, both in the stores and online, there is a problem that needs to be resolved. I’m sick of not being able to get the food my cat needs. She has allergies to poultry products and the food she can eat is never in stock. Of course, the foods that have poultry products in them are plentiful and fill the shelves. You would think the company would pay attention to this and adjust accordingly. At this point, they are just too big for their britches. Corporate greed and stupidity is running rampant and Petco is no different. I’m done!!
