About

Pet supply storePet Adoption Service
Jeff Smith and Lisa McKitrick, owners of Boofy’s Best for Pets since 2010, know how to keep kitties purring and tails wagging. “We measure success one cat or one dog at a time,” Lisa says. “We see remarkable transformations in health, appearance, and behavior that result from switching to better foods. This is what we do – we help companion animals and their caretakers find quality foods, treats, and chews that really do make a difference in the quality of their lives!” After 13 years on Albuquerque's Westside, Jeff and Lisa are excited to open this second location in a more central part of the city. In addition to expanded offerings of pet food and supplies, this new larger store has a self-serve dog wash and a cat adoption center.

Today my daughter was bitten by one of the two cats who roam around the store. My husband and daughter walked up to the counter where the tuxedo cat was sitting and my daughter slowly held out her hand for the cat to sniff first, just as she’s been taught. That’s all it took for the cat to bite her and make her cry. If you’re going to have store mascots who freely roam the place, they should not bite so easily. Worst of all, the employee who was working said both store cats bite people often and couldn’t have cared less about what happened. Absolutely unacceptable.

Can't rate it, it was closed for a power outage, yet stores on both sides were open and operating.

I've switched pet stores and I'm now shop at Boofys. Enrique is great, also David and Mac are helpful. They have helped me choose a healthy food for my cats because I have one cat that's very picky. they always give me a warm welcome when I walk in the door. I think it's very important that I use good quality ingredients for my Siamese. I'm real big in the natural healing and this store is like a Holistic pet store

It's not cool to close the self service dog wash 1 hour early, it does not say that anywhere, on website. The only way you find you is when you take you're dog in thats been throwing up all over herself, in at 5:59pm and get told so, like I found out. Signage posted at the door and online would of been nice. Specially under the self service dog online wash it says 10- 7pm

My family did support Boofy's pet store until recently. Upon check out we normally pick up a peanut butter cup for our pup. I noticed you had David Star cookies. WTH would you have David Star Cookies for? Obviously this store or the owners have no moral compass.
