Every time I call to make an appointment or ask questions they put you on a hold for over 30 minutes or they forget about you and have to call again. They’re always changing vets, and suggesting to get blood work for every symptom. The only good thing is that their blood work results are quick.

We do not recommend Westfield Animal Hospital! We have lived in 9 different states and have had 10 different Veterinary Services and this location is the absolute worst! They are only beneficial for a well check that is scheduled. They have ZERO accommodation for any concerns with your pet. I have three specific situations to share regarding three separate visits and different pets! First, we called to make an appointment for our Great Dane that had never been there (other pets of ours had been) she was sick, and they could not offer an appointment for more than a week. We took her immediately to a different Vet, and they helped. A second situation where on a Friday at about 3:15 I called and said our 1yr old dog had eaten half of a dishcloth and could they please see her and induce vomiting. They said, no, that no one would be available, although they are open until 6pm. We called our other dog’s vet and they assisted right away! On Friday October 17, 2025 I called them at about 9:15 am to say that we saw “worms” in our newest puppy’s stool. Could we bring a stool sample and get her dewormed. This would have been the puppy’s second visit. They said we could bring a sample. I paid $70 for them to test , which took until Saturday morning for them to tell us it was negative EVEN THOUGH we saw the worms! I called at 10:00am on Saturday to let them know that she definitely had worms! They said they would speak with the Vet. NEVER called back! We took her to a different Vet and immediately got her dewormed! We will NEVER return, except to get our records transferred! HORRIBLE service! Do not waste your time or money! Your beloved pets deserve people that care and make them a priority!

Brought my dog in for his annual physical. Kayla at the front desk had no record of the appointment and no apologies. She suggested I must have called the wrong vet’s office but she acknowledged the number I called was their number. Frustrating since making the appointment was a time consuming endeavor due to lengthy hold time (well over 10 minutes). I asked while scheduling if the vet will check my dog’s teeth and I was told they no longer do that but that I could ask the vet to take a quick check during the appointment scheduled for today that Kayla had no record. She further theorized I must have imagined making the appointment. The vet offered to squeeze us in, which was considerate, but we would have to wait for a 1/2 hour with an already anxious dog. No apology or recognition of the possibility of a mix-up or error on their end. Kayla was almost robotic in her interaction. The office staff used to be so friendly and clearly loved pets and people. Not Kayla. Apparently there’s new management. After years of bringing my pets here, it seems it may be time to look elsewhere. Friendly office staff seems like a no-brainer.

We had our dog neutered here in July, the medical care was great, unfortunately the customer service left a lot to be desired. It's very chaotic at check in, the staff are reluctant to make eye contact and be forced to deal with you, so you kinda have to guess how the "Check in/Check out" works. We dropped our dog back for boarding today, same issue at check in, check out was a disaster. I walked up to the check out desk and said "I'm here to pick up Cooper, he might be checked in as Harrison" I got some kind of acknowledgement so I went and sat down. After 20 mins of people coming and going, I went back up and the person looked at me like they had never seen me before. I said I'm here to pick up Cooper, they knew something was off but never asked any questions. They asked me to pay $28.18, which was a weird number, then they gave me a receipt and told me someone would be with me soon. I sat down for 5 mins and in my boredom I read the receipt, Cooper was a guinea pig and lived at a different address than me... I went back to the desk and said I think there has been a mistake, then they couldn't find cooper in the system and they asked if I was sure I dropped him off.... Yep, I'm pretty sure, I repeated that Cooper may have been checked in as Harrison (pre adoption name). Oh, you said Cooper was the response. Not one apology, no recognition of the 45 mins of my life Ill never get back. This should be the easy part folks, great job on the veterinary work, get someone in who knows how to run a front office please 🙏
