  Very rude customer service waiting for my dog to be groomed. Made me feel unsafe bringing my dog there by the hostility I felt. I would recommend another location. If they are this rude and mean to humans imagine how they treat your fur babies…. never going to this location again. A shame too because we loved the groomers. Not worth it.

  Extremely rude. Shante the dog trainer kept ignoring me so I said “excuse me” and she went off on me in very condescending manner…there were no customer in the store but myself…sorry you have to do your job…

  I do not typically do things like this but this crossed a line. PETCO ABSUED AND NEGLECTED MY DOG Petco at 2706 US-22 in Union, NJ you should be disgusted with yourself. I dropped off my dog at Petco grooming at 11:45AM for his appointment. I recieve a text message at 2:06 (OVER 2 HOURS SINCE BEING DROPPED OFF) that he was “not liking the blow dryer” and stating that the groomer “has to tend to her other dog appointments” I respond to the text message. I than did not receive a call or text from 2:06-4:00 (I got to the store at 4pm and another dog was on the grooming table) When I get there I find out that he has been in A CAGE the whole time after his bath (OVER 5-6 HOURS) so he can “air dry” He was completely ignored and neglected for hours on end while you are tending to other dogs and playing musical chairs with appointments. The groomer was visibly working with other dogs while my dog sat in a cage, are you kidding me? The kicker of this whole interaction was when I asked if he was done being groomed she told me it will take another 2 hours to finish him and if I wanted to “wait it out” I walked out the store with my dog wet and not groomed at 5:22pm- 5 HOURS AND 37 MINUTES AND YOU HAVENT DONE ANYTHING BUT BATHE HIM. This isn’t just about bad service, it’s about neglect. You do not keep someone’s pet locked up half the day because you do not know how to manage your schedule correctly. He has been crying and shaking since leaving the groomers. I will never forgive this place for how they treated my baby and I will take it all the way to animal abuse and cruelty if needed. I have reached out to corporate and I will rock this world if needed for my baby!

  Appointment was set for 10/13/25 1pm, appointment was schedule a week ago. I took off from work since I work 12 hours shift in a hospital. I received email the day before on a Sunday that I needed to have my dog check by a vet since she is older then 10 years old. I asked if it was a policy and she said yes, I called corporate and they said it wasn’t a policy but some store can require it. There was an incident with Clark petco last year and I believe they wrote in her chart so I won’t be allow back. The incident was that she didn’t Have a rabies vaccine proof but she did have it done, I asked why can they check in the vet files since it was done there and they gave me an attitude. Since then Clark pet co has denied her stating her skin was too dry .. what a joke. Anyway done quit petco. No more food, vet or grooming .
