Bond Vet - Union brings modern and convenient veterinary care to the Union, New Jersey community. Bond Vet offers primary care and urgent care for pets, which means we can see your dog or cat (usually a same-day appointment) for symptoms that require timely medical attention — a wound, a rash, diarrhea, a persistent cough, a behavioral change, limping or other non-life-threatening symptoms, as well as for routine wellness care and vaccines. Bond Vet’s mission is to strengthen the bond between pets and people through better vet care. We pioneered urgent care, discovering a clear need for timely but not quite emergency care. Because our team is experienced in both GP and emergency medicine, we can offer everything from annual wellness exams, vaccinations, spay & neuter, mass removals, dental cleanings, and specialty surgery, all under one roof alongside urgent care. We know pets and people haven’t always enjoyed vet visits, and we are working hard to change that. A Bond Vet clinic is clean and welcoming, with treat bars, soft lighting, sniffable spaces, comfortable furniture, and hydration stations. Before, during and after your visit, our knowledgeable team is compassionate, caring, and completely dedicated to providing best-in-class medical care for your pet. We’re big on convenience at Bond Vet, making it easy to book appointments (usually same-day or next-day, or you can simply walk in!), chat with our medical team, access your pet’s medical records and more. Plus, our telehealth services can save a trip to the clinic while also giving you peace of mind; we can even prescribe and deliver medication if the treatment plan calls for it. At Bond Vet, you’ll always be offered multiple paths for treatment, next steps and diagnostics, and you’ll never be pressured to spend more than you’re comfortable with. On top of that, we’ll save you time by helping you file claims with pet insurance companies. We built Bond Vet because we wanted to modernize the veterinary experience for today’s pets and pet parents, and we think you’ll enjoy our approach. Bring your pet for primary or urgent care — Bond Vet - Union is located at 2401 Route 22. Call us, walk in or book online at bondvet.com.

The veterinarian was great and took the time to explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated.
I do wish that before items were added to the invoice, there had been more explanation and transparency around the costs. If a sample needs to be taken or an additional service is recommended, it would be helpful to explain the reason and the associated charges beforehand.
Rather than adding items directly to the invoice, clearly reviewing and confirming costs with patients in advance would make the experience feel more transparent and comfortable.

Dr. V and Skylar were terrific. Got on the ground with my dog, let me stay for bloodwork and testing to keep my dog calm, and were so thorough! Everyone was so kind and truly cared about my pet feeling better!

I have been a Bond Vet client since 2024, starting with my first dog, Snowball. About seven months ago, I brought home my second puppy, Remi, and took her in to begin her vaccinations. After forgetting the date of her next dose, I called to confirm and was told I had missed the original window and needed to reschedule for February. I specifically asked if she only needed one remaining vaccine, and the representative confirmed it was just the booster.
When I arrived today for Remi’s appointment, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
The front desk staff greeted us with noticeably dismissive attitudes. I also brought a stool sample that I had collected previously. Instead of simply explaining an issue, I was told I had not paid for the test. For context, I always pay my bills in full — often $300 or more — before leaving the clinic. I do not leave balances open. What made this worse was the tone and insinuation. At one point, it felt as though we were being accused of placing the “paid” sticker on the sample ourselves, because the staff said, “Someone must have put it there.” That level of implication is unacceptable.
Next, I learned — only after arriving — that Remi’s vaccine series would need to be restarted. When I scheduled the appointment, no one informed me of this. That is information I should have been told ahead of time.
All of these conversations took place loudly in the lobby, in front of other clients. The two front desk employees (one with something on her teeth, the other with very long hair) were making side comments, showing visible attitude, and speaking in a way that was unprofessional and embarrassing. During the back-and-forth, the employee with the long hair even said, “You can take your pet,” in a rude, dismissive tone. As someone who works in customer service, I understand the challenges of dealing with people — but professionalism, respect, and discretion are basic expectations.
After I got home, I called to update my email on file. I believe I spoke with the same employee with the long hair. When I asked if a manager could reach out to me, her response was a curt, “Oh, they will.” Again, unnecessarily rude.
To top it off, after Remi received her vaccine, she wasn’t even given a bandage.
As pet parents, we bring our animals to the vet to ensure they are healthy and cared for — not to be met with disrespect, accusations, and unprofessional behavior. I have been a loyal client for years, but today’s experience was unacceptable.
I am requesting that a manager contact me directly to address this situation. This experience needs to be reviewed, and the behavior of the front desk staff must be addressed.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Bond Vet. When I brought my dog in, I trusted that he would receive thorough care and proper testing. After the visit, I was told everything looked fine and there were no serious concerns.
Unfortunately, just a couple of months later, my dog was diagnosed with insulinoma by another veterinary clinic. The second vet performed more comprehensive testing and took the time to really investigate his symptoms. Not only were they more thorough, but they were also significantly more affordable.
Looking back, I can’t help but feel that the evaluation at Bond Vet was rushed and not as in-depth as it should have been. As a pet owner, you rely on professionals to catch potential health issues early, and it’s heartbreaking to learn later that something serious may have been missed. (Not surprised since they are owned by PE). DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!

Thankful for this team. Brought my frenchie because he was walking wobbly, we were welcomed by Paige at the front desk with a big smile, assisted by the nurse, I believe her name was Monique, the kindest, sweetest nurse and lastly, Dr. Norby, who was warm and gentle with our little guy Blake, was the most knowledgeable vet we've ever had. Provided the most extensive examination and she didn't try to sell us anything and was beyond helpful in figuring out what happened to our 4 legged buddy. Prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was calm and clean. Everything was pure perfection!
