I NEEDED TO FIND SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR MY PUSDYCAT AND I NEEDED ADVICE!.
JOHN THE MANAGERS SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME WITH ME, AND I FOUND EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, AND THEN HE CARRIED IT TO MY CAR. HE WAS SO HELPFUL.I TOLD HIM THAT MY CAT WOULD BE VERY HAPPY. I DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH HE LOVED ANIMALS BUT I DID FIND OUT THAT HE HAS Many pets! Xavier checked me out, andi also was very courteous and suggested a few things.
I highly recommend the Totowa store.
Many of the people waiting to check out, had their pets with them. And you could tell, I thought this was a place where pets were loved.đ

Iâm a saltwater aquarium hobbyist and regularly purchase fish from Petco. This past Saturday, I stopped in during the bucket sale and spent nearly two hours trying to get just a few fish. Unfortunately, one associate struggled for over 45 minutes to catch a single fish and was ultimately unsuccessful before the store closed.
I returned the next day and had a completely different experience thanks to Sergio. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and clearly understood the needs of aquarium hobbyists. One thing I always prioritize is making sure fish are eating before purchasing, since a fish that wonât eat in the store is unlikely to thrive in a new tank. Sergio immediately understood this and took the time to test each fishâs appetite before I made my purchase.
Not only that, but he was able to catch the fish quickly and efficientlyâsomething that made a huge difference compared to the previous visit.
Petco truly needs more associates like Sergio. His professionalism, knowledge, and passion for the hobby made all the difference in my experience.

My experience with grooming was absolutely horrible. We were very clear that we did not want our dogâs FIRST grooming haircut to be fully shaved. When he asked how we would like the cut, we said not too short, yet he still shaved her completely. My dog does not look the same, and not in a cute way. On top of that, we were charged random fees that were never mentioned on the app when I originally booked the appointment. I think it is unacceptable to advertise one price online and then add a bunch of extra fees and even a FORCED tip for someone who, yes, did their job, but did not do it well. We should have known something was off when the groomer seemed like he didnât even know how to properly hold a dog. We specifically told him to just do what was included in the regular grooming package we selected because we did not want any extra fees, yet he still added charges that were never approved by us. I am also a Vital Care member and thought that would help with pricing, but after this experience we do not want to bring our dog back ever again. I am paying to be a member to get these discounts, but it clearly isnât worth it if this is the kind of service we receive. I would not recommend coming here for grooming if you donât want your dog fully shaved when it isnât necessary.
