### Avoid This Vet Clinic at All Costs – Unprofessional, Deceptive, and a Total Money Grab
I had an absolutely horrendous experience at this veterinary clinic, and I urge anyone considering them to run the other way. From start to finish, it was a nightmare of incompetence, lies, and what felt like blatant attempts to squeeze every last dollar out of pet owners.
It all began when I booked an appointment for my dog's limping issue. On the day of, they canceled without any explanation whatsoever – no apology, no heads-up, just a last-minute ditch. We rescheduled, and thankfully, we saw a visiting vet, Dr. Debaecke, who was phenomenal. He was kind, patient, and even sat on the floor with my dog, who showered him with kisses. My pup absolutely adored him, and so did I. It's a shame he's only temporary because he's the only redeeming part of this place.
During that visit, they did bloodwork, but two days later, I get a call saying it was mishandled and we needed to come back. Mishandled? How does a professional vet clinic botch something as basic as blood samples? My dog hates car rides, is already injured, and Dr. Debaecke specifically advised keeping him immobile to aid recovery. This was beyond frustrating and completely unprofessional.
Knowing our schedule was packed, we decided to skip the redraw and just request a refund for the botched service. Over the phone, they flat-out denied it, insisting we had to come in person because their "software system doesn't allow refunds remotely." The manager doubled down on this nonsense and further added that the anti anxiety medication previously approved would now require bloodwork, so I rearranged my work life to drag my poor, injured dog back there. But here's where it gets infuriating: when I arrived and processed the refund at checkout, they didn't even need my card! It was all done electronically without any issue. They lied straight to my face – maliciously forcing me to bring my dog out unnecessarily, exacerbating his injury and stress, just to get me back in the door. Who does that?
To top it off, the regular vet, Dr. Zinna, was there this time. The energy was off from the moment we walked in. My dog, who is the sweetest soul and loves everyone – adults, kids, you name it – started barking, shaking, and cowering in the corner. He's got anxiety around other dogs, sure, but we've invested thousands in training and behavioral programs over the years, and nothing's fully clicked. Medication was our last hope, and Dr. Debaecke had already signed off on an anti-anxiety prescription.
But Dr. Zinna? She refused to honor it without forcing us into "therapy" first – as if she knew better after one tense interaction. It felt personal and judgmental. A quick Google search revealed that Dr. Zinna herself has publicly written about suffering from anxiety and imposter syndrome which must explain the nervous, off-putting vibe she brought into the room. My dog, being sensitive, clearly picked up on her anxious energy, and instead of handling it professionally, she took offense and turned it back on us. It reeked of projection and unprofessionalism.
The whole ordeal screamed money-making scheme – pushing unnecessary services, lying about refund policies to lure you back, and gatekeeping basic care. I walked out without the bloodwork or meds, got my refund (which, again, could've been done remotely), and vowed never to return. I'd rather drive an hour to see Dr. Debaecke wherever he is than step foot in this place again. Save your time, money, and your pet's well-being – go elsewhere!
